Hoard Discussions Thread v.7!

i realized recently that's it's been a loooong time since i've made an update on this hoard. i'm still not sure how to refer to it other than "this hoard"...for a while it was just "realistic '09 dogs", but that became confusing when i started tossing in other years lol. i guess "this hoard" it is haha.

in the past few weeks especially, i've made great strides through offsite trades and trading main lists for bulk '09 r/vr dogs! i even have a couple hundred '09 r/vr's to use as fodder for swaps now c':

probably the biggest update is that i've added a few outcomes to it! for starters, the lemon dal, blue-eyed gsd, and liver dal have finally made their way into the group! i also have a few blue/red aussies that i've added, though i'm still debating whether or not to actually add them to my wl and collect more.

lastly, i've removed the light grey and red shima wolves from my wl, as i believe i'm content with the amount i have for now (23 grey/16 red), though it's a little sad as they're arguably the easiest outcomes to trade for lol. definitely may re-add them later once some of the other outcomes have had a chance to catch up. i'm really happy with how the group is coming along, though!

Just curious do you think 500 of these guys is too far fetched? Kinda harder to get them because this event was such a long while ago!

lol my first thought was "no way 2018 was that long ago" but then it hit me... yeah it was lmao. I personally haven't seen much of these guys around so I couldn't reliably say whether it's feasible to get to 500, but it looks like you've made great progress on it!! it always sucks when you get to a point where you can't find the pets anymore, I wish you luck if you decide to go to 500 ^^

if you mean any of the rodents in general I hoard the hot cocoa ones from 2020 c: i also have a future hoard planned of the christmas light hamsters and was considering maybe this guy but idk yet lol

Why do you hoard them?
I absolutely love their designs. Space/Starry Pink & Black are my aesthetic preferences. I love them so much

How large is your hoard?
Currently it's at 789.

What is your goal for the hoard?
First I'd like to get one dog from each date in Feb 2018. But then I'd like to get at or over 1,000 total.

Do you overpay for hoard pets/items?
No because they're all Commons and Very Commons.

What was the first pet/item in your hoard?
I think it was my original adoptions and when the GUPPS happened that December, it just kind of sealed the deal for me.

@Birdy: I ADORE the realistic '09 dogs, what a lovely hoard!! Those pets are some of my favorites on the whole site, I think. Good luck expanding and collecting more <3

@Disreputable: I've considered a rodent hoard of some kind in the past, but I am a bit picky... if I had to choose, I might do the 2013 ferrets! I've been thinking of it for quite a while now:


@Lounah: close to 800 is an absolutely insanely large hoard, especially for a single outcome! Congrats, wishing you luck for your next milestone :)

@Cyrinus: those Sunback plushies are adorable, I love getting multiple hoard pets at the same time! I don't exactly hoard plushie pets, but I do have a collection of all plushie-themed pets that I can find on the site, and this one is for sure one of my faves. Slow-moving or not, it's still going strong!

sometimes i think i have too many hoards so i downsize and then i miss them lol.

but i feel like trades are so slow lately and there's not as many people active as there used to be, so i'm gonna start hoarding lots of stuff again. owo

I completed my goal for the death's head moth hoard I started a little while ago! I have 40 of each type of bwolf, and it's just lovely to scroll through the groups & see them all so perfectly organized <3



The 2015 bwolves were surprisingly easy to get, and the 2021 PPS bwolves were an absolute nightmare to find!

@not zinnia - I love the theme for that hoard! Every time we get a new version of the death's head moth, I get so excited because they're just such a cool looking species ^^

Well, January got to me and I think I've come away with another infinite hoard OTL
I can't resist lunar/solar themes

I'm currently only hoarding three of the four outcomes, but I'm admittedly on the fence about the yellow one. I love the color of it, but I'm not sure if I want it to sit with the others. I may end up just doing a single page hoard of the yellow and hoarding the other two fully.
