Rarities are usually updated every month - typically as part of the Mid-Month Update! Although we do sometimes see bigger updates with a lot more pets changing in the new year, this is due to December 18th re-releasing pets back into the trading economy and also bringing a lot of players back to the site who may have been away for a while. Sometimes adjustments are made to the way rarities are calculated and that can also cause a lot of pets to shift up or down at once, however there hasn't been a drastic change in rarity calculations since January 2019.
