Something's up with the pound

oof this opening was ROUGH. did not get a pet and my partner didn't either.

maybe i just have awful luck, but i feel like i only ever get shown common and more recent pets?? i've only seen, like, a COUPLE of rares and a COUPLE of oldies within the last few weeks and haven't been quick enough for them. meanwhile i go into the 'pound pets you got' forum afterwards, and see folks with store pets and malks, and i'm like, um, what?? i never even saw those!!! much less got the opportunity to be quick and adopt them.

Yep. On my first refresh it went down to 300, I think it only took a few minutes for everything to go

That's solely random number generator though, not a bug of the pound but a feature. It is frustrating, but every once in a while something really good will pop up on your first page. I haven't had it happen in a while, but a few months ago I got a Malk fire wolf.

Personally I miss the days of the pound having 2500+ each opening, that would give you a better chance to score a good pet just based on numbers

AHH okay, i didn't realize the shown pets operated on a random number generation. my complaint is null and void then lol, just bad luck for me! thanks for the info!

I've been missing many openings. It's quite frustrating.
All pets are gone in like 3 minutes, maybe 5 if we're being generous.
I've actually started to grow even more of an affinity for items because of this — I much prefer it when the Lost and Found is about to open now.

ive been loving the lost and found lately as well! ive caught it an hour or two after opening and still been able to snag something decent off my wl

I've definitely been feeling this too. Sifting through the items imagining what would work well in a dress-up vs. trying to identify and click on a pet as quickly as possible.

I'm not sure if there is a thread detailing and suggesting the changes we've discussed on this thread, but if there is one, I'd like to show some support. I don't know if just talking here will lead to any changes being implemented, plus I think a thread in the site suggestions forum would get a notable amount of support.

agreeing with this, make rare pets harder to get in the first half!!! it's kind of annoying trying to identify

Looks like part of someone's hoard is about to be up for adoption from the pound... no joke; there are 2.5 pages of this one dog (the vc outcome from pink/white June 2011) in the adoptions page for the next opening. So weird to see!
