I've fallen sick so my biggest apologies to those RP'ing with me, I'll try to get a post up as soon as possible. But I don't think my cats will be going to the gathering, so I think it should be fine? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Shall we assume the patrols went off without a hitch, and skip to the gathering?

@Keesa: I would love to play out the interaction between Sunstar and Oakstone! It would be an interesting opportunity to show Oakstone's personality and also perhaps push some plot regarding Grassheart's situation. If you have any more specific details/ideas on how you'd like it to go, please do tell me :>

@Queen of flames: Not very sure if we will have enough time to play this out, but if the apprentices do decide to sneak out, just a note that Oakstone will be keeping an eye on them after he finishes talking to Bumblefoot.

So if I got it right, Darktail was not the only cat who was there when Mousefang was killed, maybe she was the one who killed the warrior, but could there be other with her? If so, then could I make Shadowfire one of those who likely followed her, but didn't hurt Mousefang? more like a background cat?

Sorry everyone, I had a family emergency that prevented me from having the mental capacity to get online the last few days.

@Firelight_AA: That's an interesting idea and we can talk about it! I'll PM you to see what your ideas are :)

@Queen of flames: The way I have written it, Darktail and Mousefang were hunting together near the Dawnclan border, no other clanmates were around, and Darktail killed him, then ran back to camp claiming Dawnclan had attacked the two of them, and the Lightclan warriors took her word without question, it was raining so scents reasonably could have been washed away. When they saw Mousefang dead they attacked the Dawnclan camp (tensions were already high because of territory disputes and Lightclan just needed an excuse to attack) and Darktail died in that battle. So Darktail was the only cat who knew the truth about Mousefang's death and since she's dead no one else knows.

However, that is potentially a way to resolve the conflict. I was going to have Darktail walk in some cats' dreams and eventually reveal herself as the evil murderer she is. If Shadowfire saw something though, when he hears about the gathering he could come forward as a witness and help convince Lightclan that Darktail really did kill Mousefang? Then it becomes the word of a living warrior versus a dead warrior, and why hasn't Shadowfire come forward with the information already? Not trying to poke holes, just trying to think of how things may play out if we go with this option.
