self-proclaimed MUAs (makeup artists) on instagram are so often overrated. Most of them only know how to do makeup that looks good on camera for instagram and that's.. about it. Additionally most of them get popular through purposefully click baiting and being ridiculous, meanwhile people who actually care about makeup as an art form, have diverse knowledge on the brushes, palettes, and colors they use and create unique art using it get pushed aside in favor of someone who pumps out bad "hacks" for clout and money. ok edit just to clarify: i mean stuff like THIS is bad, stuff like this and this is GREAT.

As an emo and scene kid myself, I agree. Both subcultures are more than the clothes. I think this applies to a lot of alt subcultures.

Rock music never died. It's still quite popular if you ask me.

depends on where you're from. road trippin' has made me appreciate a good talk show. (Wisconsin had the best)

making memories in high school is more important than good grades.

I agree for sure. There's nothing wrong with wanting to get good grades to go to an ivy league school but it all seems a bit overrated to me when you can get a degree practically anywhere. I think it's more important for kids to build strong connections and worthwhile relationships rather than feeling stressed about chasing a standard they may not be able to reach.
