Hoard Discussions Thread v.7!

Here's a question for you lovely people, as I've always been curious - how do you decide how many of a pet you want to hoard?
Is it a favorite number, a number of some importance, or just a number that feels feasible to achieve?

Currently, I've been on the track of just going forever to see how many I wind up with, but having a set number for one or two hoards might be nice, so I'm debating a bit xD

It depends on what it is. I hoard mostly items and I usually do a small amount, such as 20 each, but it also matters how much I want to use that item. Several of my Halloween mini hoards stop at 13 because I feel it's appropriate for them. Another factor is if the hoard is in competition for some of my other ones. I do hoard about 20 caterpillars from ones I like (a full page), but if they're very common, then I might go for another page.

I typically don't go over 20 for pets. I'll get an extra, hold on to it and decide if I want more. I've disbanded a lot of my 50 pet hoards and reduced them to two pages.

I have a few unlimited item hoards and they're unlimited because they're free store items, so the supply is endless! Or more items in the set keep getting released, as it is with animal eggs.

after a long wait (and some really generous gifts <3) i've finally reached my first milestone for these guys at 500!!
i'm definitely going to keep going for 1,000, but i was a little shocked at the rarities lol. i thought at least one or two would be common ^u^'

That's what I'm trying to decide! The red would likely look best, but it would be easier to try for all 3 colors and checker them on the hoard when it's complete. I've added them all to my wl for now just in case.

also. I keep finding new pets to add to adrian's downfall, I like that there's a variety of pets that fit the vibe (green, steampunk and/or mad scientist) but I'll be interested to see how difficult the staff dogs will be once I start earnestly searching for them. I also love both the 2014 bwolf litters in their entirety, I'm thinking of starting a hoard of the purple ones from the January litter and maybe pairing them with one of the teal outcomes, (this or this) or both, idk yet lol. any thoughts on which might be more complementary? or if I should try for both? c:

so for me i tend to follow a guide ive set for myself!
-single outcome monthly pet= 20
-whole litter monthly pet= 50
-event pet= 5-10
-store pet= 5
-sentimental pet= number that correlates to the hoard

something like that! but of course there are outliers. :3 i need to start some new hoards that reminds me! man i love hoarding hehe

Same, too tempting not to! They are so cool, I didn't get any of my own while adopting so this will have to be a fully traded for hoard on my end lol Since I recently decided I wasn't so into a bunch of my Xmas hoards as I thought, at least I have extra fodder.
