Hollowtail's eyes slowly opened, taking in the morning around him. He stretched slowly, shrugging off his woven leaf blanket. He had made it back in his Mossclan days, and it was the only thing he brought with him when he ran away. Blinking the tiredness from his eyes, he stepped out into the harsh cold of the outside, the light from the snow nearby temporarily blinding him.
It's only been three days since he arrived at Frostclan, snow weighing down on his tired body. Everything was cold and white here, a stark difference from the swamps and green of Mossclan, but the friendly cats here were much more of a welcome change.
As he took his first few steps outside of the warrior's den, Hollowtail saw a large tom standing not too far away.
All right, Hollowtail, he thought, Now's your chance to actually get to know some of the people here. This is why you left looking for a new life.
Hollowtail slowly padded over the cold grass to the tom. A few dead leaves crunched over his feet.
"Hello," he said to the tom. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Hollowtail."

He looked up to the sky when Froststar mentioned the weather changing soon "yeah, you may be right? Do you want to take the hunting or border patrol to lead to?" he asked to make sure what the leader wanted, he didn't want to step on his paws "I don't mind which patrol to take at" he continued meowing. He looked at Bumblefoot giving the warrior greetings but didn't answer anything as he waited for Froststar to have his choice of a patrol.

She looked at Hawkpaw as the young she-cat come to get her mentor "morning Hawkapaw" she purred softly. She looked after Bumblefoot as the older warrior left to where the leader and deputy were talking on. She gave a look around with a sigh "well It seems I need to make myself useful too, so have fun on your apprentice group chaos" she murmured with a laugh as she looked at Blazerunner.

She looked for mentors to talk about her possible plans, Thunderstrike and Darkviper were already there talking to each other, Blazerunner was as well, and Brightshadow she saw being still at her nest. Any plans for today or with your apprentice Darkpaw?" she asked.

She rolled her eyes at Hawkpaw who was the first one to go to her mentor to ask about their plans "let go Wolfpaw before our mentors stop talking and decide themselves what we could be doing" she meowed flicking her tail as she walked past the brown tabby tom. She flicked her tail to Darkpaw and Lightpaw too "see you maybe soon Lightpaw, Darkpaw" she purred playfully.

She looked at Snowspots as the warrior walked to take her share to the fresh-kill pile too, giving her a smile she noticed her mentor near the medicine cat's den too. She swallowed her bite and took the last part of a squirrel with her and took it to her mentor "morning Silverflock" she meowed licking her lips "do you want the rest? This squirrel is too big for me to eat alone" she meowed.

She looked at the rabbit the other queen was taking to herself "well, that's good...there seem to be lots of rabbits at our lands now, we don't always have two rabbits at this size at the same time" she meowed. Her eyes looked at Swampkit for a little "clam down Swampkit" she meowed with a sight before taking a bite of the rabbit as well.

He took another bite giving some space to his brother to take his share as well. Swallowing his bite he turned to look at Creamflower again "you didn't answer my question?" he meowed stubbornly " I think I asked it the wrong way...hmm so when will your kits come so I can play with them?" he asked.

He walked next to his brother to take a bite of the rabbit, swallowing his bite he looked over to Creamflower when Swampkit asked her some questions "Actually I am curious to know too, Do you know how many there will be?" he asked.

Creamflower listens to Swampkit and Grasskit's question and swallows her bite before answering. "I don't have any kits." she answered. "Moons ago I did, but unfortunately... they didn't make it." She closes her eyes at the painful memory of that fateful day when she lost all 5 of her kits to greencough one leaf-bare.

Froststar turned to his deputy with a kind smile. "I'll take the border patrol. It'd be good to stretch my paws and see what's been going on." He said with a purr. "Goodmorning Bumblefoot." He said with a kind smile. "I'm leading a border patrol and I'd like you to join me."

Snowspots padded out of the warriors den and looked around camp. Not many where up yet but that didn't bother the molly. She took a small bird from the fresh kill pile and tucked into it, waiting for the clan to come alive.

Owlcry gave her a sympathetic look, and nuzzled into her side as comfort. "I'm sorry that happened to you." He said softly. "I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to tell me." He said with a small smile. "Oh um... well I was recently made a Warrior. As a Apprentice I lost a friend of mine in a blizzard. I never saw them again... but when I hear those howling winds it just...doesn't help."

Blazerunner chuckled as he watched Bumblefoot walk away. "As long as their mentors say yes Hawkpaw." He said with an amused purr. He couldn't help but smile being around his hyper Apprentice. He smiled at Cocoaleaves. "Thank you." He said with a teasing purr.

Hollowbreeze looked up as Morningglory walked by. She gave the other she cat a small nod as a greeting back. She sighed softly and got to her paws, giving herself a quick groom before paddling out of the den.

Thunderstrike glanced up to see Darkviper come out of the warriors den. "Goodmorning Darkviper." He said, his voice deep and kind. "Did you sleep well? Those winds last night where rather harsh and loud." He said, sitting up and moving over so the other tom could sit in the sunlight with him. He turned to glance at Wolfpaw. "Goodmorning Wolfpaw."

Raven sat down, curling his tail around his paws. "Well Frostclan takes in loners, rogues and kittypets who get lost or just want a place to stay so hurting an outsider is usually not allowed." He said, glancing at the she cat. "Oh yes there's quite a few that us warriors use." He said with a purr. "So forgive me my name is Raven." He said, bowing his head to her.

Crowstalk smiled and nodded. "I will miss Flowertail." He said with a purr as he got to his paws, leaning heavily on his other foot to keep himself off his bad one. "Thank you again miss Flowertail." He said, running his tail along her flank as he passed her to go back to the warrior's den.

Flowertail watched Crowstalk leave, a purr in her throat. She sat in silence for a moment, thinking about their interactions. It always felt so good to care for her clanmates, even when its simple ailments like Crowstalk's. She was so lost in her thoughts, she wouldn't have noticed if another cat walked in. Finally, she shook herself and went into the back of the den to tidy her herbs, then she stepped out into the clearing to get some breakfast. She nodded to a few warriors as she passed them on her way to the fresh kill pile, picked out a mouse for herself, then padded over to Snowspots. "Mind if I eat with you?" She asked the she cat.

"I think the apprentices have their hearts set on a battle training session today, maybe some warriors without apprentices will want to come with us?" He mewed thoughtfully. He was amused by the apprentices' enthusiasm, especially that Hawkpaw seemed to be the ring leader of this morning's shenanigans.

Marigoldsky's heart dropped. She felt a sad comfort in sharing a similar experience with Owlcry. "I'm so sorry..." She looked at Owlcry with soft eyes. She noticed a small seed of hope growing in her, that possibly she and Owlcry could be there for each other and even become friends. Right now, she was longing for a friend more than ever. "Maybe you would like to go on a small hunt to clear our heads? A little extra prey wouldn't hurt."

His ears perked as he looked around the clearing "at this time in the morning border patrol is more important, so take your picks first, I take the rest to the hunting patrol" he mowed to Froststar.

He was out of the camp taking his walk around the Frostclan's lands. Shaking his white pelt as he climbed to the large trees there and set one of its branches to rest. He knew that not everyone could see or got to look for him there, it's not like they needed to either. His bright yellow eyes scanned the forest under this tree and noticed the Raven talking with an unfamiliar she-cat there.

"I am Stormwatcher," Stormwatcher gave the young tom cat a nod, then turned his head to face him. "I've heard good things about you from the other warriors." A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he looked at Hollowtail. "How are you finding Frostclan so far? I hope we have been welcoming." He meowed in a neutral voice as he flicked his tail. His breath misted in front of his muzzle as he spoke. "I'm sure you will be an asset to our Clan. You're brave and loyal as I've been told, a warrior's qualities. I hope you can prove me and the others who believe in you correct, Hollowtail."

Brightshadow / (Morningglory, mentioning Darkpaw)
"Morning to you as well Morningglory," Brightshadow meowed to the she-cat. "You seem cheerful this morning."
The tortishelle's tail twitched and her ears flattened. She liked Darkpaw enough but she wasn't too fond of being a mentor, too much work and too much worry. The little tom deserved the best training he could get, Brightshadow was anything but confident in her abilities to teach him. "Darkpaw is a good apprentice, smart and a good listener, but he's quick to act. I wanted to take him out hunting today and perhaps work on his focus but I'm uncertain if that's what he needs at the moment. Perhaps group training would suit to teach him well."

Creamflower smiles gently at Grasskit and Swampkit, knowing they would learn about life one day. "Thank you." she said. "It happened last leaf-bare so you two weren't born yet. Remember this, losing a kit is like losing your own life. It is the worst pain of loss you could ever experience and I hope you never have that happen to you." Upon hearing Monarchflight's question about any toms catching her heart let alone whether she would ever consider having kits again, she nods. "Of course I would consider having another litter." she answered. "It was just one experience, and it shouldn't prevent me from being happy. As for your second question, I'm afraid I don't have feelings for anyone at the moment. I guess I'll just have to wait and see." She shrugs as she takes another bite of her rabbit, savoring the delicious taste.

Hollowbreeze startled, lost in her own thoughts. "Oh hello Cocoaleaves." She said her voice soft and shy. "Ready as I'll ever be I suppose." She said with a soft smile. "What about you? Looks like Froststar and Asterwillow are making up the patrols. You excited to be going on one?" She asked.

Darkpaw smiled and followed his sister to their mentors, but stopped. He quietly listened to what his mentor said his ears flattening. He thought he'd been doing well but he was wrong. He knew he was one to jump into the fray quite quickly but he didn't realize it wasn't good. He turned and slipped back into the Apprentices den, curling up in a far corner.
