That is really cool! Good luck! Are you drawing it on the computer, or hand drawing it? I always hand draw because I fail with computers.

It's in the CS Oekaki competitions so I'm editing a lineart. I'm so excited! I'm surprisingly hopeful and confident, too! I am literally dancing. I've never won one before :oops:
I was, and sign my art as KTMason. Going on a semi-hiadus as I get settled into school. I'll get on when I can.

I hope you do well. ;) I got second place once, but then again I only entered two contests so far. Anyway, I'm sure you will do great!

Yep. I'm so tired. It's 12 AM where I am. Who knows why my sleeping schedule is so wacked out. I should probably be getting to bed. Goodnight. Good luck with your contest!

Bump?
Common error of the day: Run on sentences!
She looked at the door it was rusty and pale and walked into the bright, open room.
INCORRECT!
"it was rusty and pale" is a sentence of it's own. Therefor, you can't throw it in the middle of a different sentence. You could instead put it in parentheses, dashes, or word it differently. You could also cut it our completely.
That's todays rule!

Another common rule:

Useless words;
They are usually an adjective or pronoun, or even a part of a verb phase, if I'm not mistaken.

"She walked up to the dark, onimious door, inspecting it's rustic clook and peeling, black paint."
Good sentence, but the adjective "black" is not needed. You already mentioned that it was a dark door, and you may seem a bit repetative. Also, it's good to let the reader infer and imagine that the door is black since they already know that it is both ominous and dark.

"She looked at the man, hoping that he didn't wake up at the sound of her creeping footsteps."
Another good one, but the thing is, you could change the phrase "didn't wake up" into a great number of different wordings! For example, there is "hadn't awoken," "didn't wake" (simply taking the "up" out), and "stayed sleeping" if you really wanted.

This one got a bit off-subject but I hope someone somewhere learned something maybe! :D
