I think country-exclusive events could be cool though! We do have Chinese new year, so maybe doing a bunch of regional, not just American, holidays could be fun! And educational for folks who don't know about them!

Agreed! I think possibly switching out events every year for different regions not just America would be so fun! I love seeing Chinese New Year pets, even if I don’t celebrate it!

chinese new year was renamed into lunar new year since it's celebrated not only in china, and it has an ancient history.

stuff like thanksgiving or 4th of july are american-only though and i honestly don't want them on the site.

edit: i would tolerate them if they were part of a kind of "world-travel event" consisting of smaller events with holidays from various different countries.

Or even Greek Mythology. That would be super neat. I remember doing the Egypt event c:

I do think regional, including America, could be good in general! CS didn't do thanksgiving this year, though that holiday *tends* to be...controversal? No input from me, just what I see.

But other countries have independence days too, like the 4th! So maybe doing multiple could be good? (Lil fact, "Independence day" is the most worldwide celebrated holiday lol so many countries have them XD) If we want more cultural events, we can't exclude places too, that doesn't sit right with me...but I definitely want more cultural events *besides* American ones! I love learning new stuffs about places so more worldwide events would be so fun! Unique pet designs, maybe regional animals? National animals for their relative event? Stuff like that!

the historical events are more something for the summer event, i think.



i was also thinking about Octoberfest, as generally a German-exclusive holiday, but Octoberfest is celebrated for fun elsewhere too. a more fitting example for "holiday which shouldn't be forced on the entire world because people outside of the country have no connection to it" would be German reunification. i really wouldn't want this to be celebrated on a site with people from all over the world as a general event. as part of a worldtravel event, yes, among many other holidays from around the world.

I've generally have had pretty good trade experiences. (RN it's harder for me to trade but that's because I've achieved most of my non-rare wish list pets.) The only problem I do have is store pet trades. I've seen accounts who have multiple sets who ask really high prices for them. It kind of makes sense since to buy store pets you need to buy CS with real money; however, I do think the rate at which they are bought devalues them. I find it strange that they are so highly valued compared to how frequently I see them up for trade. Many of the batches in the past couple years have enough circulation to be categorized as only "rare". IMO store pets should trend more to "very rare". To see so many "high valued" pets in circulation is pretty frustrating.

Trading hasn’t been as hostile for me,but I can’t say that it isn’t for anyone else. What I can say though,is that this is one of the only threads in the site suggestions board that can hold a conversation. I have so many ideas I want to share,but know it won’t be popular and from what I’ve seen people get upset if you share an idea they don’t like even though it’s unlikely to be implemented. I’ve seen many people get called names and receive rude comments just because their idea isn’t popular enough because that’s basically what it boils down to. Many people don’t comment their own opinions on an idea, they’ll quote someone else’s and add onto it even if what they quoted is fallacious. Also the unnecessary comments! People will add onto others unwanted insults and comments as if enough wasn’t already said. It’s quite sad really.

I have some ideas for the pound but.. after seeing the threads for pound suggestions I might decide to save myself from being treated like a villain. I don’t want to open up a space for people to call me names or claim they know everything about me.

I haven't had any hostile trading experiences, but definitely difficult ones. As a newer player I've had older players attempt to blatantly scam me, or have otherwise had a difficult time trading for pets that aren't even all that old or valuable in the grand scheme of things. It's a little demoralizing at times, though I don't let it get me down too much. I'm a reserved person so I'm not super affected by forums dying, but it does make it harder to trade.

My biggest issue with trading boils down to site entitlement I guess, though idk how that'd be fixed, if anyone has suggestions.

Ie, as said above, people expect overpay, refuse to underpay, and often won't even equal pay. Inflation, both of C$ and pet value, etc. It just gets frustrating to Get anywhere at times.
