I haven't played Genshin Impact for almost year(?) and now I'm kinda struggling to catch up.
I'm at AR50 and haven't done the ascension quest because none of my characters are ready.
Also, I'm in the middle of venturing Inazuma and I must say: I feel so anxious about this region
that I often find myself teleporting back to Mondstadt and Liyue every now and then.
The world quests in Inazuma have also been a pain that I'm just ignoring them now.

I also regret not coming back to Genshin Impact earlier because I missed Yae Miko's banner.

haven't started the test of courage yet but just wanted to comment that -surprisingly- I really liked the misty dungeon event! I usually despite combat events (like the one where we had to fight the hypostasis'? ugh) and I liked that it forced me to use characters I don't really like or don't use. I didn't like nilou before and had no interest in using collei because of her annoying idle dialogue lol, but then I got to use them and I'm like wow?? I like Nilou's attacks now, and hyperbloom team hits hard. I hadn't really touched dendro or explored its reactions at all before.

yesterday i pulled for ayatos banner the second i got the chance to and oof i see why people sometimes call the weapon banner a scam, that was absolutely not fun haha.
the fact that u have to get 2 5* weapons before u get a guarantee on the one u actually want is so unfair honestly, cuz like,, why ?? i got raidens weapon [ which will not be used most likely ] and xiaos weapon [ which will be used ] before i got ayatos one and wow it does not feel as satisfying to get them because of how much work u have to put in to get them. o well though, he looks great with his signature sword and it slaps, so anything for my main boyos !

grinding for anemo crystals has been awful because I haate the anemo hypostasis and prefer to absolutely destroy maguu kenki, but I fiiiinally got Xiao to lvl90 and did the AR50 domain which wasn't that bad - good thing I'm used to the electro hypostasis because I used to fight it for fun with underlevelled rosaria and kaeya. (as I'm writing this I'm just now realising I could've used traveller and used the ascension mats on Kazuha instead...) BUT I guess it was all worth it to immediately jump up to AR55 and get all those sweet sweet fates.
I think I'm going to give up trying to pull for Raiden now though, as I'd rather save for Zhongli whenever he comes back - it hurts me to have to pull out Noelle whenever I need a shield lol.

In other news I missed Akitsu Kimodameshi because I was with family and then my keyboard broke and I'm sO sad; I did the first bits with Gorou then Sayu and I just wanted to hangout more with Heizou. First he refuses to drop and I get Childe instead, now I miss the majority of the event with him? Heizou pls why do you hate me.

just some random thoughts/updates <3

- i've done a couple of runs of the desert pavilion/flower domain every day since it released and i only have a flower and feather with double crit lines, both at around 30 crit value or below. my scara and heizou are crying

- i've recently been leveling up kuki, layla and yelan! i love them sm but between them and scara... i don't ever wanna see the ruin serpent or an aeonblight drake ever again, even if they're relatively easy boss fights. i've really been enjoying using them in a freeze/superconduct team with my dps kaeya ^^ it's definitely not the most optimal but i have yet to secure good em piecces for kuki sooo her only job at the moment is electro application

- i finished the aranyaka world quest, and i loved it sm. i know it's kind of hit or miss with people but i loved finding and helping out the aranara, and i thought there was a lot of valuable lore that i enjoyed learning. absolutely cried at the end.

- now that the aranyaka quest is done, i've finally started the archon quest (yes i know i am s o far behind)
this quest has confirmed that i will be swiping for alhaitham. i think the last character i swiped for was cyno so it's about time

oh update time?

I didnt get scara DX spent a little too much money to only get 1 5 star pull (mona, so shes c1 which is cool ig) but i got some gorous! So hes c2 so thats very epic

But ive mostly been grinding for childe! He is now my strongest character next to tighnari so he’s been given lots of love lately. Im now considering polar star though because i feel like he could do more, but we’ll see
