not sure what species is best, a litter based on fragrances. I don't wear them, so I have no idea how to depect whatever they are. floral, musk... is amber and oakmoss something that goes into perfume?

An orca inspired litter! (On the lines of dogs, cats, otters maybe? Or dragons?) Maybe as store pets because of the line edits.
There are several types of orcas -> several outcomes, each outcome representing a type of orca:

There could also be a PPS! Baby orcas have a more orange/brownish color instead of white and no saddle patch.

I’d like to surface the gemstone idea that appears to have been brought up two years ago.

Like gemstones all have different and cool meanings and it would be so cool to both be able to collect birthstones and popular stones that have certain meanings. I want Citrine doggo or a Peridot doggo!
