[urgent] this site really is actually dying

I don't wanna recommend more BIG events, I know its hard to make, but like FL, I'd like to suggest more smaller ones each month. Just sOmething with a day to a few days of stuff, nothing big, just more consistent. To me, this'll help that big hiatus folks take between summer and December.

i really like this idea i think it would be great, is this put in the suggestive thread a lot? ive heard they aren't really kind and communitive there.

It would be nice if they would do some minor holidays like thanksgiving and 4th of July.
Or maybe an item set / pet set for Mother’s Day & Father’s Day.
I know not everyone celebrates the Fourth of July but even just some firework items or firework themed pets would be a cute way to celebrate.
I love the small events (ex. Hanukkah, April fools, Valentine’s Day, new year,) as well as the big ones !
It was super cool when they did a leap year set of pets in 2020.

Yes to these additions!! Especially minor holidays! Those would be perfect because there are so many small ones around.

Heck, even silly ones like "National Black Cat Day" or "Talk like a Pirate Day" or just...any of those *odd* holidays XD Just little events bi/tri-weekly would HELLA make *me* at least wanna stay longer in between the big events!

Heck, we could have polls to vote for the event themes, items, dress ups, legit Anything lol. I too often take a huge hiatus between events because,,,,if you don't do art...what am I supposed to do in the meantime? Especially if, as mentioned above, trading is becoming...*frustrating* to say the least lol. There's nothing to *do.*

Of the ones I remember the names of there was Talk like a Pirate, Pizza, Guy Fawkes Night, Red Panda, and Disability Awareness. There has been others, I just can't remember the exact occasions. Pets would come out too, but in the Item Archive you can find regular months had free item releases.

I do remember Guy fawkes night, and the pizza one too. I would love if they did some more minor ones like black cat day, May 4th (Star Wars), earth day, world teachers day, (maybe) Veterans Day, pride month, etc

More events do sound like a boatload of fun. Does the site do something for pride month? It totally should if it doesn’t. It might not be able to celebrate May the Fourth because Star Wars is copyrighted material.

Yeah, I’d love to see some more events. It would probably drum up activity!

Not sure if we get something every pride month, but last year we had like three pride litters and some flag items for it.

Honestly I was more surprised for the disability awareness we got last year. It feels like disabilities are just always forgotten about. But yeah, I LOVE the surprise mini events, I hope we get more this year. And yeah I feel like the mini events help some but imo I don’t think it’ll stop whatever is killing the site. I still feel like whatever is going on with trading is the main issue.

I think country-exclusive events could be cool though! We do have Chinese new year, so maybe doing a bunch of regional, not just American, holidays could be fun! And educational for folks who don't know about them!
