i think a lot of people tend to forget that this is a pet adopting site geared towards children n_n; while i totally agree that there needs to be some improvements in the moderation and the forums, political conversations should be happening elsewhere i think!

Agreed. But this includes ALL political affiliations. Not just the ones that are disagreed with by staff. (This includes
political movements, gender issues in relation to social issues - not gender dysmorphia itself but the grey area of
women's rights and all that jazz - , etc.)

It is unfortunate because conversations about those things can be very stimulating, but for the betterment of this site,
I think it should just be taken out altogether. It has become too harsh and harmful things have been said to me and
others as well. At the end of the day, you don't know what is going on in someone's life. Some of the things I have
seen said and been told are far too extremist and downright malicious. This should not be allowed.

I think it could help with the community if we take out even just that aspect of social interaction. I don't know.

{throwing in my support on this one. CS is where I come to get away from all that. If I wanted to get depressed by politics I would read Twitter. This is a fun kids' pixel pet site where I come to put accessories on my little animals, not a place for people to argue about the outside world [especially when they bring the hostile in here with them]. It's exhausting having nowhere to hide from it. Even avoiding forums, I'm still constantly seeing political takes on profiles and such. People need a break from all that sometimes.}

Reason this site is dying, from my perspective.

Reporting someone for mentioning stuff very inappropriate for children? Might get taken care of, most likely not.

Someone reports me for "rude behavior"? You better bet the mods are on my case in a few hours or less.

Things that are more important, at least in my opinion, aren't being taken care of. Posts that contain inappropriate things still exist and have those things in them. (Name mentions of people that have or do SA for example, and watch my post get edited or deleted for mentioning any of this)

On the note of the suggestions board there needs to be more relaxation everywhere. in-fighting and outsider entitlement is a HUGE problem in pretty much all discussion threads. (Before anyone gets their feathers ruffled, see the menorah renaming thread where I was considered not authorized to respond to something I very well have connection to by an outsider.)

Yeah, and I would choose not to as well. But unfortunately, unlike other browser games, the forums are very in-your-face with the recent posts being right there on the front page. I hate the constant reminder. Topics show up there that tempt me. I hate it.

I could just avoid the front page, but then I can't see what comes up in the news. I'd have to go to the forums for that. Which brings me back to square one.

Gonna swoop in again with another 2¢, with just a thought...last time I posted I just got into Flight Rising, and now I've been playing over 2 months.

Biggest thing that would help member usage is just...more events that are interactive.

We have ehh, Advent, Halloween, 2 specific new years pets, a handful of small holidays like St Patricks day, etc, summer event, and easter.

Seems like a lot in writing, but only 4 of those have any major impact on the usage. Each of which are VERY spread out.

I don't wanna recommend more BIG events, I know its hard to make, but like FL, I'd like to suggest more smaller ones each month. Just sOmething with a day to a few days of stuff, nothing big, just more consistent. To me, this'll help that big hiatus folks take between summer and December.

i really like this idea :) i think it would be great, is this put in the suggestive thread a lot? ive heard they aren't really kind and communitive there.

I think its also to do with a lot of people jamming up the value of pets. Ive seen people offer 5 nons for a pet that is worth 2.5 nons… demand is crazy some people push it for fun and its a sad thing to see. People are knowingly trying to scam other users by valuing their pets at the higher end of the value and ‘your’ pets at the lower end or just be rude and expect overpay for normal pets…

First part 100% agree with (I also agree with the rest of your post, just commenting on the first part haha). In my experience, I've gotten in trouble just bc what I said was "unnecessary". Sooo not only will you get in trouble for saying anything that could potentially be taken as "rude" (even if unintentional), but just simply "unnecessary" as well. Soooo hopefully this doesn't get me a warning bc it's "unnecessary". Not trying to be rude, just explaining my experience :,) (removed the story bc I have spent literally 10 years on this game and don't wanna risk getting banned bc I've been perceived as passive aggressive or rude on this post, I'm not trying to be rude or passive aggressive, simply explaining my experience)

Edit: I wonder how it would be if you could provide (anon?) feedback for mods, like you can on Lioden (I'm actually unsure if CS does this. I haven't been involved in anything that would require me to contact/be contacted by mods in years). Like how you can rate your experience and provide feedback for other staff to potentially review? Idk. Lioden does have a more mature audience requirement (16+) and maybe it'd be too much of a hassle for a less mature audience like the audience on CS.

I also 100% agree with this. It's so difficult to trade with people when you're trying to do an exactly fair trade. Everybody wants overpay for their pets and that's why the value gets jacked - bc one person overpaid for this pet, so they expect anyone and everyone else to overpay for that pet, and somebody else sees that person overpaid for that pet so they also expect everyone to overpay for that pet, and cycle continues & pet values become insanely inflated, and you almost have to participate in the overpay craziness in order to get any pets you want.

i'm too ignorant to comment on other topics here, i'm very inactive in the community nowadays and don't really know what's going on, but i am definitely one of those users that has been an assbutt in the past and have done some questionable things lol. but i've grown up a little and am more mature and just really don't care, even when people are rude to me.

BUT, i do want to say i agree with this idea! i get on and get my pets every month and participate in events the best i can, but there really are times that are very dull and it's just month after month of nothing too exciting. i always find staff dog month to be exciting, but that month and events are really it. i do like the addition of limited store items and it's always exciting to see the new store pets.

It would be nice if they would do some minor holidays like thanksgiving and 4th of July.
Or maybe an item set / pet set for Mother’s Day & Father’s Day.
I know not everyone celebrates the Fourth of July but even just some firework items or firework themed pets would be a cute way to celebrate.
I love the small events (ex. Hanukkah, April fools, Valentine’s Day, new year,) as well as the big ones !
It was super cool when they did a leap year set of pets in 2020.

Another idea is adding more dressup prompts to enter your pet, i always enter all the slots and have to wait until the next month for so long ! It would be fun to have 4-5 different dressup prompts for people to choose from , and it would give people more options.

I also love the writing contests! There’s one going right now and I wrote an entry for it ^^
I wish they would bring back special prizes like items given out to certain people for winning a writing/art competition too, it would certainly make things fun!
