Something's up with the pound

while i don't see the discord pound bots timer as a problem whatsoever, i must say that the ability to check what will be in the pound before it opens seems to be causing a lot of the issues. i recently returned from a 5 year hiatus so correct me if i'm wrong but there isn't any on-site way to see what pets will be up for grabs so this sort of thing shouldn't happen

My and my gf both find that the pound opens for like 5-8 minutes , has 500-1000 at most pets
And closes so quick! The pets go so fast! Is nobody gifting the pound anymore?!

The lost and found seems to be going well which is why I’m confused, it’s been opening and staying open steadily

You can see how many pets the Pound account owns -- currently, there are 821,266 pets in it. Definitely not a lack of donations! However, the amount actually adoptable when the Pound is open is way, way, lower. Honestly, I think they need to increase the amount of pets in the pool, or at least the rarer/older pets.

you can see what will be in the adoption pool by going to the pounds profile and looking at their pets. when the pound has the message stating it will open in a certain amount of time the "adoption" group becomes viewable.

oh i didn't know that! still, the discord bot only shows what rare/vr/omgsr pets will be available rather than users having to look through 800-1000 pets to see what they can find

Maybe instead of the 700 pets in one opening, there can be several smaller openings instead in the 3 hour timeframe. You could still only pick one pet within that 3 hour timeframe. But now you might have to make a choice as to what opening you want to try without knowing which one the pets you want might be in. Would something like that help?

I don't use a bot to notify me of the pound opening, I just check it religiously, and set a timer as soon as I see it two hours or less out. I get lucky with the pound quite often, but you quite literally have to be refreshing the page down to the second. If you miss the first 15 seconds of the pound being open - you can forget about it! I also have much better luck in the middle of the night 😅 Which I know isn't realistic for everyone!

I began a Chicken Smoothie Discord server very recently. I saw how much of an issue the Pound Bots were, so I decided to not include them in my server! It feels fairer, as part of the game is waiting, checking, and waiting again. I wish there was a Chicken Smoothie Discord bot that could be helpful, without being unfair to others.

I'm not sure what time the pound opened today but I managed to open it when there were only FOUR pets left?? Based on the pound pets thread it doesn't seem to have been that long before I got to it. Also, I didn't know about the pound bots showing what rare pets might be there, that seems like an incredibly unfair feature

I was there right at the opening. And every pet I kept picking it was already chosen. I'd refresh the page and all the pets on that page was already chosen. It's getting pretty annoying. I used to play this game years ago with a different account and it's never done this

The actual Pound page ALSO shows what rare pets might be there; this is literally something you can do by going on the Pound's account when it's opening. Also, seeing a PNG of a rare has never actually helped me in catching said rare? It's not like the bot forces that pet to spawn on your page 😭 I sincerely do not understand this argument
