[300+ SUPPORT!] Make rereleases better/more rereleases

I do agree that we should have more rerelease dates, but not too many. Maybe twice a year. December 18th, and then maybe June or July. I think that it could not only benefit the economy, but also the activity on Chicken Smoothie. From what I understand (I could be wrong, so do correct me if so) the number of active users tends to increase during the holidays, close to December 18th. If we had another day like that, I think that it could motivate people to come back more, as well as maybe provide another opportunity to attract new players.

i hate how inflated the value of store pets are, but it'd definitely be scummy for them to be rereleased after swearing they wouldn't be rereleased since real life currency is involved with obtaining them. i'd love to have more regular rereleases though, i am working on a species collection and the trade fodder would be awesome.

edit: at the very least, like someone else said, they should increase the boxes to 5! as an older player, i kind of cry inside seeing people get pets i could have easily obtained within the last few yrs as their dec 18th adopt.. there are way too many pets in the pool at this point to only have 3 boxes.

{suppose I'll throw my take in here too! I support having more dates for the rerelease boxes. I remember in 2011 we actually had two days [18th and 24th] and I was happy with pets I got. I think it would help CS activity to have them during slower parts of the year-- there's big gaps between Advent and Easter, then the summer event and Halloween, during which special rerelease dates would help boost activity. edit: gap between Easter and summer event too}
{I'm not in favor of more boxes. Instead I think the box/es should be changed to 08 and 09 pets only, even at the cost of "guaranteed at least rare." Nobody places real trade value on anything after 09 [except urs and stores of course]. And ever since the box system was changed more and more of us have gotten snubbed by the "guaranteed at least rare" system because we can get rares that just came out...instead of simply old pets that might actually give you a shot at trading.}
{The economy is so far gone, something needs to happen to fix it before it's too late. More rerelease days with better pets would at least help.}

Yes, I agree the boxes should be reworked. Adding the box that guaranteed a rare tanked the chances at a valuable pet. You're likely to get a new rare that is easy to trade for and has no real value to begin with. I don't recall ever getting anything less than a rare pet to begin with on the old system anyways. I do like the idea that one of the boxes is guaranteed very rare/OMGSR, however I wonder if the chances to get one are really all that different from the old way. I feel like you almost always got a very rare/OMGSR with the old method. It's just now you also get a newer rare that has no value. I was around for the 24th when we got to open the box again. I liked it, and I recall being happy with what I got. I would be open to doing that again.

I would like to add on that if there were to be a second rerelease date is that it should be a secret and random date throughout the year where you could get one rerelease pet. With it being secret, random, and only consisting of one pet, it wouldn't ruin the December 18th celebration and it would also make it so that active members get the benefit of the rerelease and not just users who log on only on the rerelease to get the pets.

I like the idea about rereleasing items! That could be an extra Dec18 box. I made a comment on another thread and I don’t know if it’s been said before, but what about a box containing old Christmas pets and a box containing old event pets? Since there are so many events, there could be a chance for a 2009 event pet or a 2022 event pet. Lots of variation so I hope that wouldn’t affect rarity too much, making the older pets “too common”

I definantly support this idea. Ive been adsent for a while but I remember the heavy debate about re-releasing store pets and I still whole heartedly support some sort of re-release for them especially.
The argument against it was always 'its unfair to X' but the older and rarer the oldest store pets get the more and more unfair it gets to newer pet collectors.

Maybe a new re-release date could be the sites birthday?
Definantly support making the re-releases a guaranteed age. It sucks getting a current rare which isnt worth alot from a box.

personally i think this is a great idea. the site has been experiencing a decline in users, i know years ago the site was very busy even when no events were occurring. i think introducing something like this will increase site traffic greatly and maybe restore CS to what it used to be.

I think having a second re release time in July during the summer event would be nice or doing 2-3 pets per Box in December. But while that is nice I think New URs should only be in Dec 18th boxes. Like a end of year gift/surprise and making them a bit more rare atheist for a while. Could also make it so URs only show up in the Dec boxes not the other set so they can maintain their rarity over others.

For store pets during Dec 18 they could have it set so you spend a store pet set price of 80C$ or inflate it a bit to something like 150C$-300C$ and have a Dec 18th store box that can only be sold once to an account and have it give a random store pet set including whats already in store. It would allow them to be re released at a already inflated price but also allow players the chance at getting a older store pet. Or they could do like the normal 18th boxes and release 1 pet at 80C and have 3 boxes. 1 older VR box 1 mid box and 1 box for the last 1-2 years or something so a smaller lesser box. Your over paying per Pet per Box but have a chance at older pets. Just an idea for the store pet re release thing. But as many have said wishing and wanting will not change the admins minds on such things.
