MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Today is December 25th! Some of us woke up early to open gifts under the Christmas tree. Others lit new candles on the menorah, enjoyed the cold weather, or just spent the day with loved ones. But for everyone who participated in the Mystery Mistletoe event, that means it’s time to reveal the buddy pairings. Thank you to all of you for playing along and making this event a delight to hold. The winner of night 7, Dreidel, is chaotic creativity! The dreidel game is very fun and I highly recommend you find a dreidel to play with. It's also fun to just spin it on its own. Entertained me a lot when I was younger. Now, this last night and raffle is to honor a tradition of many winter holidays--presents! When I was younger, I would get a present every night of Hanukkah. We don't do that anymore (I get everything on the first night, these days) but I still remember those days of lighting the candles and saying the prayers, opening the night's present, and usually eating some gelt afterwards. Very fond memories. Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and have a happy New Year! The raffle ends at 8 pm PST tomorrow.

What is your favorite holiday memory? When I was a kiddo, about 10, I had a small stuffed animal. With that stuffed animal, my dad took it and wrapped it up in a present. I was so sad when I couldn't find it, but when I unwrapped the present, it really marked a real fun memory!

What is your favorite holiday memory? back when we lived in Adelaide, we had a whole group of family friends that were also South African and each Christmas the families would all gather together at someone's house since none of us had any other family here. There was always one of the dads that would dress as santa for the younger kids, and the older kids would set up a treasure hunt for presents. Those holidays were always a lot of fun
