The darker ears and darker tipped tail moved a bit. She grabbed at one of the legs, or tried to, but the buck attempted to kick at her then. This caused him to become a bit unbalanced. He quickly set his hoof back down, and she sighed with relief. "If he does that again, maybe he'd fall over..." she muttered. Now that the buck seemed to know what that did, he might not try and kick again, though.

They made a sound of worry as she looked at them then away. They saw the misery in her eyes...and knew it was because of Rusted's passing. They went and nuzzled her, then looked to Althea. "Althea...what do we do?" they asked the other healer.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked around. The white foot black phase she wolf shook her head as she listened. She glanced to Blaze when he spoke to the omega once more. She blinked as she noticed the small smile shot at her. She felt her fur heat up a bit, and shook her head. She smiled back, then, nodding back to him. Whether acknowledgement, welcome, or both, was his guess if what he wanted to believe.

She let out a small breath, then, seeing the way Liberty now looked at Destiny. She snorted a bit...then shook her head. She listened as he then spoke about the resources, and how they seemed limited this season. She let out a small sigh. He resources were definitely limited this time around. She couldn't remember a time when they'd had such trouble. They'd come close before, she was sure. However, it had never been quite like this, and as Liberty looked at them she nodded to him. She watched as Dante stepped forward. She shook her head, listening as he and Liberty spoke. The two of them knew each other? She shook her head at that knowledge, and glanced to Destiny, then Shy Fawn.

She rolled her eyes a bit, at him...then looked to Blaze once more. She heard Shy Fawn once again say he understood. She then made a small sound as something smacked into her. She watched Eros roll, coming to a stop under Blaze. She saw the way he shivered, ears tucked back. She shook her head a couple times, and let out a small sigh. "I guess we won't tell him. Why are you out here, though?" she whispered back, since Liberty was currently distracted but might still hear them.

The still handsome aging male smiled a wolf smile. The black-phase wolf twitched his ears and flicked his tail a couple times. He quickly followed after the younger wolf, or as quick as he could anyway. He continued to smile that wolf smiled. He tilted his head as he looked to her, as she didn't speak anymore after that. They were supposed to be talking, so he tried to think of a conversation starter.

The white muzzled shadowy one nodded to Hakuren. "I'd go with you...but Scythe told me to gather snow or ice and put it in the nest. I think she still wants me to do that. Even though I'm sure there's other ways to remove the ticks." They shook their head a couple times. They then quickly headed off, managing to scoop up some snow and ice in their mouth. The snow began to melt...so they hurried to the den. They went to the empty nest and dumped it in, then headed back for the healers den.

He sighed but nodded to the healer. He said "Alright," but wasn't actually very hungry...He was a bit thirsty, but didn't think he could actually eat. Maybe he could just pretend to eat.

He let out a breath, saying "I don't know if it's thick enough to cross...and falling in wouldn't be fun. I mean...one of us could try. If it starts cracking, just turn around and jump back to the bank. If...if you two want to try that way. Otherwise...maybe we should see if we can find another way," he said.

Kaija's instincts drove him to want to nip at the Bucks face, though those antlers were daunting. As the others pushed forward, the buck seemed to almost stagger with every counter. Something in him told him to go for the legs. He waited for the buck to swing his head away. He side stepped and leapt forward, wrapping his gaped maw around the bucks for leg at the knee. His teeth clamped on the hard boney limb. The antlers swung back to him and he turned his rear so he stood perpindicular (sp?) to the buck. He felt the pressure of the smooth curve of a tine brush his face as he dodged and it made his heart leap. Thankfully the pointy tine missed and now Kaija had a vantage for his pack.
With his fangs locked, he braced against the bucks strong pull as it tried to pull his leg free. Like a crucial game of tug of war, Kaija gave out a low growl and lowered his body closer to the ground.

Elle looked to Mikage, she'd never run into a lone pup, what did they do with her? The pup raised her head in confidence, pressing a little smirk up the side of her face, "I can take care of myself!"
"So you ran away?" Elle tilted her head a bit.
Daisy looked down in thought for a moment, the confidence dampened, but it swiftly returned as her tail wagged behind her, " Maybe, but only for a little bit."

Destiny nodded at the Redmoon Alpha's response. She was pleased in knowing that they had a similar understanding about the struggles of this current winter and the wanting to seek a truce. This new Alpha, Liberty was definitely more understanding than the previous one. And honestly he was better looking - which Destiny wasn't going to complain about.
As Dante told her he would consider the proposal. Destiny swished her tail with another nod of her head. Her eyes scanning over the darker toned wolf in front of her. She hoped it wasn't obvious she was almost checking the other Alpha out. She shook her head returning herself to the conversation. "Yes, Let's discuss" she confirmed.
To her surprise, Dante had started a conversation with Liberty. They know one another? she thought to herself, he ears pricked with interest. Soon enough her heart shattered in realization of how they knew one another. Destiny took a step forward and let her fur brush against Dante to attempt to comfort her closest friend- as she saw him breaking down slightly. Destiny's eyes went back to Liberty. Had he really gone that much out of his way to help the enemy pack? So he did have a good heart, proving his intentions to help both packs would be true. She thought to herself once again. Happy her gut and Beta had not strayed her from opting out of listening to his proposal. Curiosity pricked her, she wondered what his idea could be. Destiny had a few of her own but would rather save them to see what the other Alpha had ideas of. "Thank you for helping Dante and Weiss. Our pack appreciates your efforts" she spoke, her voice faltering momentarily with emotion. She had remembered the day Dante had returned to camp with his heart shattered. Dante had now returned to his normal cold stature beside her. She couldn't help but smile at the comment Liberty threw Dante's way and vice versa. At least this meeting wasn't going badly.

Blaze lashed his tail in response to ShyFawn, that wolf was worthless. A waste of energy to even focus on when his alpha would need him. His attention turned back to the alphas and the wolf who had introduced himself as Dante. Blaze listened intently as Dante spoke in regards to Liberty. Blaze wasn't shocked, Liberty did have a kind soul. What he was suprised on was the Starlight alpha being willing to hear his ideas. They weren't bad knowing Liberty , however the Alpha didn't even take an afternoon to consider. Was she Dumb or were they desperate for help. A growl escaped Blaze when Dante mentioned killing Liberty. Even in a joking manner, that didn't sit well with Blaze. The growl was cut short by Eros running into them. Blaze shot the pup a glare and nodded when Gauge said they wouldn't tell. "If you trail this far from camp again I will tell him"

He turned to leave but stopped when Wolfcry talked to him "hm? you will?" he said surprised, he was not used by warriors to join the hunters more than they needed to. He saw in the corner of his eyes how Jessie almost got hit by the buck's hoof and there seemed to be some a close call with Kaija as well-. He still held the buck's hips, but all the moving was starting to work as he was getting tired to hold, but he didn't want to give up. He looked at other wolves 'come on, give up already...' he thought to himself hoping the buck could stop fighting back soon.

She was almost surprised when he actually did kick out again. She jumped to avoid it, then jumped back to grab at his leg and pull. The buck gave a cry and wobbled a bit. She sucked in a breath, waiting to see if he'd fall. He finally did fall, right onto his rump, as she was holding the leg.

Kaija clenched his jaws and pulled hard, he'd now managed to put himself under the buck. As he did the bucks free leg buckled and his head and chest dropped low. The weight met Kaija's back, with him now pinned Kaija let the leg go. He clawed frantically to free himself and in his frustration snapped at whatever skin he could reach. With every heave of his body though he felt himself slip more and more free. He looked to Jess, "Grab his hind, Jess! Quickly before he stands back up! Bring him ALL the way down!"
Kaija wriggled himself the rest of the way free and staggered a short distance away. He needed to breath. A few hundred pounds has a way of squeezing your soul out from you.

"Won't your mother miss you? What about your litter mates?" Deep down Elle knew that Daisy didn't mean that, but even if just for a bit, a pup in an open field spelled danger. Rival packs could be cruel, though Elle and Mikage weren't like that. Cougars, bobcats, and bears liked tasty little pup snack bites. And even some prey wouldn't run at the chance to take out a future hunter.
"How do you intend to feed yourself?" Elle smiled, gotcha pup, what will you do then?

He holds still the buck even when the herbivore falls to the ground, now he could use his whole body to keep the buck down so it could not get up. He eyed the other wolves holding the buck as well, but nobody of them didn't seem to do the killing bite on him even if they maybe had a chance now. His eyes looked at River who was not doing much "River? This will be your kill? You have your chance now" he called out of the young hunter.

He let go for a moment when the buck fall to the ground as another way he could be only in a way, but when it was down he got to hold one of his front legs so he could not move that much or the worst to get away from them. His eyes looked over to RFiver there.

Tears stung her eyes. "My mother is dead and I don't have any littermates. And my grandfather died." She shook her bushy white fur, blinking sadness from her eyes. "I'll hunt. I know how to." As she said this her ears perked up. Sniffing the air, she smelled a rabbit. Wagging her haunches, she leaped for the rabbit, killing it. Picking it up, she trotted back to Elle and Mikage. "See?" She mumbled through a mouthful of fur. "I'll eat small prey now, and when I'm bigger, take down elk and bucks."
