How the Mad Scientists Saved Goomas! Closed

Entry: Lily and the little goo look over curiously when they hear the sound of the trumpet and cheering. At Rudolph's explanation, the two look for Nicolas, and smile when they see him walking over. Both seem amazed when they learn about his magic bag that can give everyone the gift they want most. Lily is especially curious about that; even she has no idea what gift she might be given, since most of her treasures are memories and friendships, not physical items. Meanwhile, the little goo has the opposite issue- they can imagine so many cool, space themed items! Which one would be their heart's desire, though? Well, there's only one way to find out!
The two patiently wait their turn, and when it arrives, Lily nods for the little goo to go first. They approach Nicolas with clear excitement and anticipation, accepting the gift they are given with a grateful wave which seems to be their way of saying thank you. They move aside and Lily approaches next. She smiles when she sees there is in fact a gift for her; though she is now extremely curious what it could be, she makes sure to say thank you first rather than immediately opening it like she wants to. She joins the little goo off to the side so the next goo or goobie can have their turn, and by unspoken agreement, the two open their gifts.
The little goo receives a book full of images taken of space, via telescopes, satellites, and even just regular cameras. Constellations, comets, solar eclipses, Aurora Borealis, anything and everything they can think of- it's all there. The little goo gazes at the images happily, appearing not to notice as tiny hints of wings start forming on their back, looking just like the images of space they are so fond of.
Lily receives a plushie of her favorite video game character, one of her role models and biggest inspirations. The one who inspired her to always choose kindness and look for a peaceful resolution to any situation. Chara from Undertale! Lily hugs the plushie with a smile. She looks over at the little goo, who is still very much enthralled by their new book, and thinks that magic sure is incredible!

Raava approached Santa Goob tentatively. He had strangely been nervous to meet the mysterious figure. Nicolas already had Raava's present in his hands when he stepped up. Raava received the gift with a small head bow and a quiet, "Thank you." He then stepped out of the way so as to let the other goobies through.

When Raava opened his gift he found a potion belt inside. He was astonished, every time he looked at it seemed to have a different amount of notches. Perhaps it was magic so he would be able to carry any amount of potions. It would certainly be easier to grad his creations with this than searching through his bag had been proving to be.

Asher being the timid fellow he was approached Nicolas along side his brave friend Flynn. Flynn was already yammering away when they reached Nicolas. "It is so good to meet you! My mother Renna always told me stories about your magic... I can feel the kindness radiating off of you like she described! Thank you for making goomas so wonderful for everyone every year!" He quieted down after Nicolas handed him his present and stepped aside so Asher would be able to approach.

Ash was much more shy and only looked up when he was handed his present. "Thank you Mr. Nicolas. I hope you have presents for Crimson and Snarl too! I know Crimson likes to play tricks but she's harmless," Ash stammered out then shuffled over to Flynn.

Waving goodbye before grabbing his friends paw, Flynn led the pair back to their new agel and diab friends who already had their presents. The twins hadn't opened their gifts yet and he wondered what they were waiting for. Inside Flynn's gift box, he found his goomas charm but slightly different! This one seemed to have magic that would persist forever. He could only imagine the wonderful music he would be able to make using it.

Spirit's nerves have eventually settled down as they take in the holiday magic as well as the happiness of everyone. Apple peeks into her box, finding a cool set of awesome scientist goggles! "Now I can be a FASHIONABLE scientist!" She says, pleased. Ugin as well opens hers, pulling out a brand new notebook and quill. Monteclaire has an adorable scarf, while Tamale gets a cool hat! As everyone takes in their gifts, Spirit looks at Nicolas.

"I er..." Nicolas met them with a smile.

"I know..." He says, before leaning in and giving Spirit a hug. "I am sorry we had no idea. You carry with you such a large heart, holiday spirit for not just Goomas but all of the holidays! Go ahead, open your box..." Spirit swallows hard before they nod, and open the box in their hands. Looking inside, they find a scrapbook, filled with pictures and scenes that illustrate everything that had happened today!

Meanwhile, goos started to find their way one by one, or start gaining small features to show their paths had begun. Rudolph meanwhile smiled warmly. "Alright everyone, almost time to go home! We can go be sleigh or magic, your pick! I'm gonna miss you all but, there's always next year! And... thank you! You all saved Goomas!"

"Verlo, how are you going to get home?" Tristelyn asked, watching as Verlosung eyed the sleigh with a bit of nerves. "I know you hate flying, not to mention that nobody really know where you live except for me and the other faegoobs." With that, the taller agel turned around. "Well then, I could ask the same to you, how are you going to get home, huh?" A Nervous laugh came from Tristelyn. "Oh! Well uh, I was planning on finding out if there was a boat here..."

Almost on cue, a small goobie with bug antennae, the goo from before, came up to them with a small toy boat in their paws. "Boat! Elves make small boat into BIG boat! And Bug come with!" The two agels laughed at the little diab, though he certainly had a point despite that. "Hmmm, sounds like a good plan kid- but how about we find a big old pirate ship model instead of this dinky thing." Triste gasped. "Verlo! We're trying to get home, not get a new boat to show off!" Verlo giggled. "Oh, come on Triste, consider it another goomas gift for me!" This time it was the little diab's turn to laugh, as Tristelyn just rolled their eyes with a sigh.
