day six ─ "quiet down everybody . . . ! alright, go on dear! tell us your tale!"

tell your tale ! :: The little goobies had been so patient before, listening to everyone telling their tales and then waiting until the end before chipping in with their opinions and sharing what they had to say, but something put a stop to all that. What happened? Well, it was the fact that they were asked what they wanted for Goomas! There was no way in the world that they could contain their excitement when they imagined their delightful wishes coming true, after all! And each of the goobies had their own wishlist, but there was always one special item at the very top of each of their minds, something that they felt they just HAD to have!

Chaos wasted no time in blurting out that his heart's true desire this Goomas would be to receive the very special treasure box that he'd been hoping for! It was a metal box decorated with a big skull on the top, and it locked shut so that he could keep his goodies inside without anybody messing with them! Not that any of his family members would want to steal his treasures, but all the same he felt a bit like a pirate when he thought about this special treasure chest that would hold his most precious belongings!

Ursula wanted a squishmallow, but not just any squishmallow. The one she desired most was the one shaped like a mushroom, because it reminded her of ingredients in one of her favorite potions, and it just had the cutest happiest little face on it, she wanted to give it a big hug and smoosh her nose right into its softness! Ursula already had a great big squishmallow collection with a lot of different ones, but she could always use more, so her thinking went! She had the jellyfish, a blue jay, and even a cute little hamburger that she'd won out of a claw machine one time when her family went on vacation together. Each squishmallow was imbued with their own happy memories according to who gave it to her or how she had come to obtain it, and she enjoyed giving them names and playing different games with them, imagining each had their own likes and dislikes, hobbies and families.

Anemone really hoped to get the new Pokemon Game, preferably Violet. While it was said to be pretty glitchy, that wasn't the biggest deal to them because there would surely be patches coming out for it later to make it a bit more playable and besides, it would be the first open world adventure of Pokemon, basically made to be a lot like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was their current favorite game and one they'd played over and over, just so that they could beat it again and again. Anemone really enjoyed non-linear gameplay and being able to make their own choices about where to go and what to do in the fictional worlds they inhabited on their NIntendo Switch, and combining that with their love of Pokemon just seemed like the coolest thing ever!!

tell your tale ! :: "What would you like for goomas?" Lily asked.
"Huh?" Shell seemed confused by the question.
"Oh, well, friends sometimes give each other gifts on goomas. Usually it is supposed to be a surprise, but I am not very good at keeping surprises secret anyway, and besides I would rather gift someone something I know they will like rather than guessing. So, what is something you would want to receive on goomas?" Lily explained, sounding sheepish as she admitted she is not good at hiding surprises.
"Oh! Um, well..." Shell thought for a bit, eventually shrugging. As with most other goomas traditions, Shell had not known about this one, and thus was entirely unprepared for the question. "Maybe some chocolate?"
"Sure," Lily agreed.
"What would you want for goomas?" Shell asked.
"Now that you mention it, I would like some chocolate too..." Lily replied after a few moments of thought.
"Alright. So, uh, now what? Do we go buy some chocolate?"
"Yeah, I guess so," Lily agreed.
And so the two headed to a nearby store to find some chocolate. They ended up spending nearly an hour looking at all the different brands of chocolate as well as the cute, holiday shaped treats. Both smiled when they noticed some chocolates wrapped up to look like snow goobies. Eventually they each selected some chocolates the other had seemed interested in, and Shell had to agree with Lily that it was a lot more fun picking out something knowing the recipient would definitely like it than trying to guess what they would want.

"I don't know what i want for christmas...

I guess just hapinnesssss..? Peace in general.
I like hanging out with what i've grown to consider my family, too.
I liked hanging out with a gob in lasts years festival... that could be fun, but i doubt i could get that again. It was already weird as it is, of an occurrence, I loved it a lot but it isn't something common.

Maybe some plushies. I need something to get comfort from that doesn't bother anyone else, i guess.

She smiles. That could do.

Maybe some new friends too, but for now she was good like this. She didn't need much. Never really did.
Maybe she'll be more lenient this year. Maybe she'll accept more this year.

Maybe she won't be so suspicious of good things anymore.

"What do I want for goomas? Hmm.." Winter pondered for a minute, having not thought of it too in-depth yet. "I honestly don't have a lot that i would want for goomas..." She answered, a thought coming to her mind soon after finishing the sentence she had just spoken. "Ah actually.. I think what I really want is to have a good goomas with all of my dear friends! It's not my first goomas away from my family but.. everyone here has really made it feel like im at home. I have a feeling that this goomas is going to be really good!" Winter ended the sentence with a wide smile, thinking of all of jolly nights to come, leading up to goomas day. "I couldn't really wish for more... Everything everyone has done for me has been super, super nice... I'm mostly grateful for Juniper, she's been my partner in crime since the start and.. I couldn't really ask for a better friend." Winter finished.

He reached over then and with one hand pulled over Selia, while the other grabbed Sherry. "These two right here? My greatest treasure in all the world. All I need for Goomas is these two by my side and ya know what? The holiday will be merry and bright! Now gals? Why don;t we go snag a few festive drinks huh? I hear eggnog is... interesting! Lets give it a go shall we?"
