Alyss cautiously approached the ingredients table. She was nervous she would get something tricky. However, luck was on her side as Alyss came away with regular vanilla! Daxter on the other hand wasn't as lucky. He came back to their cooking station holding seaweed.

"Well I don't know what I'm supposed to do with this... I thought seaweed was just used with sushi," Dax muttered to Alyss. He dejectedly dropped it onto the table.

"Perhaps we could try and combine our ingredients? I bet there's plenty of recipes we could try!" Alyss began flipping through the recipe book on their table. Excitedly Alyss slammed a paw down on one of the pages, "There! We can maybe vanilla seaweed shortbread cookies! I'm sure someone will like them."

Dax smiled at his friend, "I thought I was supposed to be the one who actually know something about baking. Helping out Juniper has been really good for you!"

Funko has always been kind of unlucky.
Not extremely unlucky but certaintly not enough to lean on luck for decisions.
He stared at the table quietly, pondering if he should partake in the challenge or not.

He remembered when Comon had taught him to bake. She had said something about letting yourself go, about making simple things yours, giving personal touches.

He decides to take the chance.
He can make it work, maybe.

He puts his paw inside the hat, taking out a piece of paper, holding his breath.
He opens the paper, and smiles softly.

There was no way that Wrasse could explain the mad dash to the kitchen as all the goobies around him raced to get the best ingredients. Having learned a little bit from his last few days in the kitchen, he at least knew what to look out for. And yet, to his surprise, many goobies had their own ideas of what would be good in their own recipes. Chalk? Hair? Knives? Were these ingredients that land-dwelling goobies used in their recipes? Padding over to the table, now realising that he wasn't in nearly as much of a rush as he thought he would be, Wrasse peeked up at what was available to him. And that's when he saw it; a fish, fresh and delicious, just waiting to be taken. "I wonder why no one grabbed this?" he wondered aloud to himself, taking the fish into his mouth and proudly bringing it to his station.

Prompt answer;  Jax looked excited as the word challenge was mentioned! Challenges! She LOVED a good challenge! Trotting over with happy steps, she looked over the table. But as soon as she would eye something that looked useful, another goobie would snatch it right up! Her ears twitched back, as she further considered her options. No... no... definitely not... allergic to that... that one tastes like feet... wait. Who would put a durian fruit on the table anyways? Were they just that mean? Eventually however she landed upon a basket of fresh apples and some cinnamon. "Guess I am making that apple pie today after all!" She said to herself cheerfully. "Time to get to work!"

Oddly, you see Juniper without her apron. “Hi all! We’re going to do something fun today! A field trip if you will..””

Some goobies are bouncing around excited, while other goobies.. Are not. You hear someone say they want to go past the cookie tasting booth and others saying how they might be able to spot some gooelves on the way. Juniper starts to try to calm everyone down so they can listen to her.

“Everyone! Let’s settle down for the time being.. Today we’re going to go picking berries and whatever else edible thing you may find! Grab a basket just in front of the door there and please before you add them to the basket, make sure they’re not dangerous! When we come back, we’re going to put them all on the table neatly in a row so we can pick and choose from any basket we would like.” You start to think about what you might want to pick in the forest..
