Star was busy taking on the hoard of rocket grunts. Because of her battle experience, she swept through them wave by wave with the help of Samurott's surf attack. While she was busy doing that, Cera the houndoom had snuck off again to follow the others inside the base.

After slinking with the small group for a while, a familiar and bitter scent caught her nose. It wasn't just any rocket scent: it was him. With fur bristling, she split apart from the other group to confront him.

Tristan had heard Star's battle cry, but was caught up in the swarm of other grunts trying to push their way through to battle the intruder. He gave up halfway through. There was enough grunts to deal with the miscreant by now; it was best to put his time into other things, like guarding the pokemon. After squeezing his way out of the cluster, he made his way to an open room, sighing. "Even with the wider hallways its always such a traffic jam when the littlest thing happens. So annoying."
Before he could catch a break, however, he turned around to see a familiar face stare back at him. "Oh, it's you."
"Cut the small talk. I know it was you. Even after you promised to leave me and my pack alone, what did you do? Go and steal my son. I knew your promise was empty and I should have never trusted you. All you are is a dirty lying thief! Cera growled, not budging an inch. As she began to walk forward with claws outstretched, she tried to reason with him one last time. Tell me which room my son is in, and maybe you won't lose your other eye. I'm not afraid of you, and trying to fight back will only result in your remaining pokemon getting burnt to a crisp.
Tristan knew what she wanted. He should have never released her. His own remorse caused this entire problem, and if she wasn't set free, he would have been fine. But he thought he had a plan, by sticking trackers to the other pack members. He thought he could scoop them up again later. But as always, luck was never in his favor. "What's a few more scars to my collection? Your threats mean nothing to me. I don't have anything else to lose, and nothing to gain from helping you, so I might as well be loyal to me team. I regret ever feeling pity for you. We would have been great together, but I was the one who ruined that. I can't fix my mistakes, so I might as well erase them." He responded, sending out the two pokemon he had to fight.
Cera scoffed, and proceeded to get ready to battle

As they made their way through the base hallways, she paused when she felt the rumble of what seemed like a hundred feet on the cold, hard floor. "Something's happening to get the grunt's attention. Should be good for us, since they should all be focused on one thing." Still, she proceeded with caution. More quakes shook the ground as they traveled, but this time, they seemed more like battling. 'What is going on..?' she thought.
Oh hey, you've noticed this! I'm SpacialDimension, but you can call me Space, Spacial, or SD. I like videogames, and I have too many obsessions over them; feel free to ask about which games I play. I can have social anxiety at times, mostly with new people or those I look up to. Send a PM if you want to chat, but I may take a while to respond because I'm nervous.
