-snip-
Horses: Dapple grey sabino | Blue roan maximal sabino | Bay leopard appaloosa
Ponies: Palomino splash pinto | Silver bay snowflake appaloosa | Black overo pinto
Sabino can also mimic roaning due to the dispersal of white hairs in the coat from the pattern, but the blue roan horse seems to have black points (and he
is very blue), so that's what I'm calling it. Trompy, how'd we do?
(I don't know anything about yaks so I'll let Lillian field that one lol)
luxlustravi, thank you very much! Would you recommend any site where I can learn about the coats and patterns of horses? I'd love to be able to determine them on my own, without bothering other people ^^"

Wikipedia is a good resource for coat colours honestly.
This site is a good starting point as well, as it has photos to go with the descriptions.

No problem, Devik! Seconding wikipedia, which is legit what I use for things like this, lol.
I will say that you shouldn't feel like a bother, since it's a complicated subject in general and certain colors and patterns can be difficult to pin down on top of that. (And, because we're dealing with drawings and not real animals, the artist may not always be available to clarify, especially if you're waist-deep in the archives.) It's not bad to ask for a second opinion if you feel like you need one!
