absolutely! part of the fun is being able to tell a story inside of your clan. for example, my chessclan has had an in-story war that resulted in a lot of death and restructuring of their lives. as long as you stick to the rules and basic mechanics of the game, you can pretty much write whatever lore or story you would like! and yes, you can purposefully kill off your own cats should you decide to do so.

Ho ho ho! Happy holidays, friends! Have you ever played Secret Santa? Together, Broken and I will be hosting a similar game for the season. But there's a twist! Instead of gift-giving, we're going to exchange cats! Each participating player will be assigned another player as their Mystery Mistletoe buddy. They'll write a short note and design a custom cat for their buddy. Several artists and staff members will go on to color those designs, and just before Christmas, we'll deliver them anonymously to your buddies! But you don't get to know who sent you a gift until the very next day...

HOW TO PLAY
1. Let us know you're interested in participating! You can reply to this thread, send me (ponz) a ChickenSmoothie PM, or DM me through Discord.
2. Sit tight. We'll be matching you up with a buddy to gift!
3. Receive your buddy's name via ChickenSmoothie PM or Discord DM. But remember, it's a secret, so don't tell anyone!
4. Write a short letter to your buddy and design them a cat.
5. Send that letter and cat design to either me (ponz) or Broken through PM or DM!
6. Wait it out... and in the meantime, try guessing who your Mystery Mistletoe buddy might be!
7. On December 24th, Broken and I will deliver the finished cats and letters anonymously. We hope you'll love them!
8. On December 25th, we will reveal the pairings!

RULES
- To participate, you must have made your starter post and been replied to by a mod!
- We will be accepting participants until December 4th at 7:00 PM EST. After that, you will have until December 6th at 7:00 PM EST to write your letter, design your cat, and send them to either me (ponz) or Broken via ChickenSmoothie PM or Discord DM.
- Failure to submit your design and/or letter in a timely manner may result in disqualification. Our participating artists need time to finish your cats!
- Your Mystery Mistletoe partner will be chosen randomly! Please do not complain or request a change. That's not a very nice way to show some holiday spirit!
- Please do not request a specific artist to color your design.

DESIGNING YOUR CAT
Feel free to get creative with your cat! That said, here are some general guidelines to what is and is not appropriate to request.
- You may request ANY trait restricted to Moonpool Requests
- You may request ONE trait restricted to Birthday Cats
- You may request ONE minor line edit or accessory
- You CANNOT request a specific lineart for your cat (CAC 1-16, H155 1-7, etc.)
- You CAN request a general pose for your cat (sitting, standing, etc.)
