─── A silver molly lounges comfortably in the sun on an outstretched branch, silver coat dappled with shimmering light. Though she looks serene surrounded by weaving barren branches, only the crumbling remains of few browned rotted leaves still fluttering, a deep turmoil stirs in her emerald eyes. Mistyleaf's gaze is clouded with unease and she shuffles her paws underneath her, the brush below shifts as a wren leaps forth and flits away.

─── She's ashamed that she's avoiding her duties as a warrior but she can't help reflecting, especially on today of all days. Last Leaf-bare, early into the cold season as it is now, she made a devastating mistake. Mistyleaf couldn't forgive herself, reliving that moment again and again, choosing to ignore the signs she saw in that cat. Without word for what had happened she stepped to Dawnclan's leader privately and told them she wouldn't be fit to be a Medicine Cat any longer, set in the decision to bury her secret.

─── Needless to say, her decision was received with surprise. Mistyleaf has always been regarded as a healing talent, she is easily able to identify and often sniff out herbs as well as identify some illnesses by scent, it's the reason she was given the suffix 'leaf'. The name was an incredible honor, given only to prodigal healers. Now it just feels like a branding. It stings to hear, makes her cringe to think about.

─── Mistyleaf's keen nose catches the warm scent of clanmates upwind, below in the forest undergrowth. Carefully, she picks her way down the dry trunk of the tree within which she perched and makes her way towards them, careful to disguise her unrest with a kind expression.

─── When she first opens her eyes, squinting against morning light, Silverkit has forgotten what day it is. It doesn't take her long to remember, though, when her sister Moonkit tumbles over her a moment later mewling in excitement. "It's today!" Silverkit gasps, making eye contact with her sister. "We get mentors today!" She pushes herself up onto small silver paws, pushing back against her sister as Moonkit rubs her cheek down the length of her body.

─── "We're going to get to leave camp!" Silverkit's vibrant green eyes have a sparkle to them as she looks up to her mother, proud of her age and of the future that awaits her, before spinning in her excitement to run out of the nursery- finally, finally- ready to profess to everyone who doesn't know that she's about to be the best apprentice they've ever seen.

─── Tiny deep grey ears twist and turn, swiveling to catch the creaking of branches as they writhe in the wind far above camp. The wood groans, so far away, but Moonkit's ears can pick them up already just as well as she can pick out the murmurs of her clanmates guarding the camp overnight. The moon is dark today, marking the anniversary of her and her littermates' birth six moons ago on the first frost. Her heart still aches for the loss of one of her littermates who was taken by the cold clutches of Leaf-bare, one day she could feel their warm coat pressed against hers in the warm embrace of their mother and the next dawn they were gone.

───She keeps hearing how Newleaf will be different from this but she can't imagine the crystal blue, clear sky that the elders describe. She can't picture vivid green grass and a spectrum of blooming flowers, just knows the dried petals and leaves she sees wandering through the Medicine Cat's den. As slivers of sunlight dance through the silvery frost-tipped forest floor, Moonkit can't help but think of her littermate in Starclan sharing tongues with their ancestors. I hope you can see this, her thoughts echo.

─── As the sun began to rise, Hawkeclaw made his way back to the clan camp after doing the first patrol of the day by himself. There was nothing particularly unusual about the borders this morning. It was very reassuring to see some of the border strays had made their way elsewhere instead of antagonizing them any further. It had been a struggle these last few weeks to get them to stop overstepping and stealing their prey. In fact, without their stomping around he managed to catch a plump mouse to add to the prey pile for everyone. He had not seen any other cats out and about yet, a little unusual. But as the days grew colder, it was no real surprise. It was always difficult to wake up when it first began to hit leaf fall. The way back to camp was quiet and relaxing.

After arriving back, he realized that the apprentices were not yet awake. Hawkeclaw had assumed they would be wandering around at least by the time he got back from his patrol. They knew better than to sleep in this late, it was well past sunup. After dropping off the mouse at the pile, he trotted along murmuring a few hellos and good mornings to those that were awake. The elders and other warriors. “My my...what do we have here. Our lovely future clan warriors sleeping the morning away...” Hawkeclaw murmured softly, with a teasing undertone. He nosed each of them awake giving them a small joking warning about not taking too much longer to meet him outside.

"What a beautiful morning.." He thought to himself, inhaling deeply. The air was slightly crisp, yet very refreshing. He curled up his fluffy tail around his legs as he waited for the youngins to come out.

Looks good so far, I just have some notes. This is a semi-lit roleplay, so capitalization, punctuation, and quotes on dialog are required- properly formatted roleplay posts are easier to read and easier to reply to.

Usually I format mine something like this:

This is a description. (regular)
This is a thought. (italic)
"This is someone talking." (bold)

Putting a period at the end of every sentence is a grammar matter, keeps things proper, while quotations are a necessity because they tell you visually where a character starts talking and where it ends- the reason why italics aren't good for this on their own is because it's commonplace to use italics for thoughts instead.

If you don't mind editing or quoting your form to make those corrections, I'll just give it a quick glance to confirm the changes were made and you'll be accepted! I've reserved the deputy spot for you pending the changes.
