I guess lol! But I think cs is
british
*kiwi!
Tess and Nick are from New Zealand. We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in NZ either though
Also, I am eagerly awaiting the rest of these butterwolves to hatch, I absolutely adore the first outcome!
Ah lol I didn’t know! I saw British English as a language default and just assumed lol[/quote]
I understand why they do not celebrate thanksgiving, since it is not a national holiday, and the history is a lie. The butterfly wolves looked absolutely fantastic! And I am exhilarated about the new ones coming out.

Coincidentally for the first two years I was here, 2014-15, they did celebrate Thanksgiving! There's a turkey pet.

That one is a trick!! It's the golden apple XD so it's not real, it's just a fantasy rare apple to join all the rest of the VERY REAL rare apples that the rest of the batch was themed on!
I just liked the idea so I added it in last minute before the batch was pushed through as a joke~
Ok kinda based tho. I absolutely love references in CS pets. I already liked the horse a lot and this just guaranteed them a place in my favorites folder.

I imagine Thanksgiving isn't really going to be a holiday celebrated on CS in any capacity very often, if at all at this point. Especially considering the fact that people are putting a more critical eye on it as a holiday lately, and rightfully so.

It's celebrated extremely sporadically. Once in 2010 (I think) and 2014-15. Very weird lol. The sheer randomness of Thanksgiving as an event makes me wonder if it's just up to the staff's discretion?

Its not really a globally recognized holiday which is why it doesnt really get as much of a spotlight such as say, halloween or easter. I wont get into the touchy details of it but It's usually up to the individual artists on whether they want to create something for that day or not if i recall correctly

If I remember right, cs was from New Zealand or Australia at the start?
I am only saying this cause my mum got original CS stickers in real life once.
She gave them to me a.nd I still have them!

you like me best when i'm off my rocker
tell you a secret, i'm not alarmed
so what if i'm crazy? the best people are

That'd make a lot of sense, considering that CS is very much a global site with artists from all over the world.

I'm like 99% sure it's actually more New Zealand since that's where Tess lives according to the about page. NZ is pretty british though.

He/him ⬩ CS time +11 ⬩ I'm trying my best.

BlueTrillium wrote:Maybe common/american persimmon? I've never heard it called that (usually it's just persimmon, lol -- except people are also usually thinking of the oriental persimmon, since that's what's usually depicted as 'persimmon' in media, e.g. in farming games). Makes for entertaining convos when one person is thinking one type of persimmon and the other has the alternative type in mind. xD (My friend's mind was blown when I showed him there were two kinds xDD)
It is the Common Persimmon! They do have, like 6 different names though, including Possumwood and Sugar Plum!
Around here we call them the Common Persimmon or just Persimmon. We've got a bunch of them at my barn and the horses love to eat the fruits when they fall off the trees.
