The darker ears and darker tipped tail moved a bit. She knew they couldn't risk the buck running off, so she nodded at him. "I know...but I wish there was a way to know. If there was a way to know without risking him running off...that would be nice. Unfortunately, there isn't..." she sighed. They'd have had to approach the buck to check. She shook her head a couple times, then her whole body. She then continued to watch, smelling the scents of the others approaching from the distance.

They made a sound of worry as she looked at them then away. They saw the misery in her eyes...and knew it was because of Rusted's passing. They went and nuzzled her, then looked to Althea. "Althea...what do we do?" they asked the other healer.

They nodded at him, and said "Yes, there should be. Elkan is supposed to be finding Liberty, to tell him about this." They then looked worried as they registered what he'd said. "You...saw something small run off...did it look like Daisy?" they asked. They let out a sigh, trying to stay calm. "She ran off earlier, but she came back and Althea found her in one of the dens. She could come back again. What if she doesn't, though?" they asked, growing worried once more.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked between them. The white foot black phase she wolf shook her head. She watched Shy Fawn closely, making sure he wasn't trying anything. She glanced to the border, definitely smelling the wolves there. She knew they were there, and wasn't sure about this...Shy Fawn didn't seem to have brought them with him. Shaking her head, she glanced to the others again. She focused onto Liberty as he spoke to them once more.

She nodded her head to him, as he whispered to the both of them. She twitched her ears a couple times, and flicked her tail. She then listened as he explained to Shy Fawn the situation. She nodded along to what he said, and watched Shy Fawn. She continued to nod along as he spoke. Once he was finished, he was sniffing the air, smelling the Starlight wolves. She nodded and said "Yes, alpha." She then waited for him to lead the way, before trotting quickly after him.

The still handsome aging male smiled a wolf smile. The black-phase wolf twitched his ears and flicked his tail a couple times. He quickly followed after the younger wolf, or as quick as he could anyway. He continued to smile that wolf smiled. He tilted his head as he looked to her, as she didn't speak anymore after that. They were supposed to be talking, so he tried to think of a conversation starter.

The white muzzled shadowy one nodded at him. "I would assume he picked them up in the grass or...they came off the trees or whatever they do. I don't really want to look at them anymore..." They flicked their tail and quickly turned, heading out of the den. They let out a breath or two, glad to be out of there. They really didn't like ticks or fleas at all...They headed back for the medicine den, glancing back at Hakuren. They got there, poking their head in and saying "Scythe."

"Do either of you smell anything?" he asked. He was still trying to catch a scent, and wondered if they had.

He followed the Kaija to the buck seeing the large prey animals standing near some trees, they seemed healthy and strong but still, there was something odd about the buck. The buck was alone and it seemed to be way too calm, it was resting its head on the tree, or was he eating the bark, he was not sure. He looked at the forest around the buck there were many trees, but a little bit of open area, he was getting a plan "let's do this, Kaija take River and go to those trees on the left" he said to the two, before turning his gaze to the Jessie and Labrador "Jessie go to trees to the right and Labrador near the open area so no matter where that buck will run off, we will be waiting for it" he said.

The open area there was not that big, but it did get larger after the trees, if they could catch the buck before it goes to the more open area this hunt could be pretty easy.

Liberty sat back on his haunches his head tilted while he looked at Shy Fawn. The words from his pack mates carried the grief that Liberty expected his pack had endured during the absence of the brute. Blaze’s words resonated with Liberty both in their intention and emotion. Gauge seemed to be the calmest of the three sitting in front of Shy Fawn though she agreed her comments on the subject were barren of the emotion the Alpha felt. He was happy she was cool-headed at the moment.

“I’ve heard you both.” He said in a whisper glancing at both of them over his shoulder before returning his gaze to Shy fawn to hurry and settle this situation. “Then we agree. You will not be restored to your previous rank, as I am sure you understand. This packs only Omega position will be filled by You.” He returned to his feet getting prepared to march towards the unknown onlookers Blaze and Gauge were warning Liberty about. “You will eat last, drink last, and sleep with the weather. Shyfawn, you will only be given a permanent rank when you prove you are just as indefinite.” Once he finished speaking he lifted his muzzle to the sky to catch a whiff of the wolves Blaze and gauge hinted had appeared shortly after Fawn, he too smelled them thanks to being downwind today.

“Come the 3 of you we persist to the border to entertain the ears that listen. Shy Fawn? Do not disappoint me,” he said stiffly looking back down at Fawn before brushing the shoulder of Shy Fawn as he passed by “Fall in behind Blaze.” He knew without speaking that if Shy Fawn tried anything or proved he would be a danger to the pack that Blaze could solve the problem and Liberty would have no other handle it.

Dante slunk against the ground creeping along the nearby bush for cover doing his best to get as close as he could so he could make out what the murmurs beyond the border were saying after a moment of quiet travel he could clearly hear what was being said. To be honest he hadn't considered what he may be getting himself and Destiny into but he strained his ears as best he could to clearly translate what was going on. They had arrived when Blaze was speaking.

He looked at Destiny and then whispered, “There are 4 wolves total including Shy Fawn and From what I have heard already I can tell we are being betrayed by Shy Fawn he is attempting to re-enlist himself back amongst their ranks.” he tilted his head listening still as Blaze continued, “The one that speaks doesn’t trust Fawn..” he whispered kind of distraught that they had trusted him for as long as they did. When gauge started speaking Dante could hardly hear what the she-wolf had said except he knew she had agreed. Yet Dante was confused the two voices speaking sounded like subordinates why were they passing judgment on this feeble wolf surely the new alpha ran his pack the same way. But to answer his question a deep voice that commanded respect passed the final judgment. “I can confirm their Alpha is here. He just allowed Shy Fawn back as an omega. A far nicer choice than I would have given him. What do you think Destiny?” he whispered sure that if the 2 fighters with the Alpha had half a brain about them that they could smell Destiny and Dante because unfortunately, the drafty breeze swept toward the Redmoon.

Manfred

The gentle brute was sleeping quietly recounting the events that lead to his injury in his dream. During his rest he snored softly twitching occasionally every time he dreamed that he had fallen again injuring his paw. When it happened during his patrol it ached for hours afterwards because he was forced to walk on it while he returned to camp after still managing to meet expectations with his work.

Upon returning to camp later that day he immediately went to maison for care. Maison couldn’t do much for Manfred because He hadn’t broken anything, all maison could do was give the hurting brute something to help him sleep off the pain. Whatever Manfred was given definitely worked he hadn’t stirred at all throughout the night and even this morning when the Healers den was busy with loads of traffic each with there own problems.

Resting in one position all night long had taken its toll on his body that and his stomach grumbled begging for a meal which is what woke him before he heard the familiar voice of a pack mate named Mavis. She is one of the packs dedicated hunters. With a groan he rose to his feet and stretched his stiff sore muscles, his joints popped and cracked as he stood. He looked around to see if he was alone at the moment and since he was the brute responded to mavis who called out for the healer, “Maison is not here at the moment.” His masculine voice was firm but it had a kindness to it. He began to approach the exit of the healers den appearing out of the darkness as he spoke, “You might’ve just missed him though.” He was surprised that he wasn’t sore because without thinking he was walking on his injured paw so it mustn’t have been as bad as he previously thought either that or that magical sleep stuff had done more than make him rest. “Are you injured?” He said curiously looking at the hunter with concern she seemed to be fine because she was standing on all fours.

As Dante spoke, destiny focused more on the words he was saying about the discussion the RedMoon wolves were having. She shook her head in disbelief. Shy fawn? Betraying them? Absolutely not. Destiny held in a growl. Her anger rising as she listened to the now traitor grovel for a ranking on his prior pack. Did he forget about doing the same thing and asking for acceptance into the Starlight pack? What happened to being with his family? Destiny looked at Dante “have I lost my mind or is this really happening right now?” she questioned in almost a hushed laugh. Call her crazy, but she could not believe what was happening.
Noticing the wolves she shook her head “Cover’s been blown Dante, let’s see what’s going on” she whispered before rising to her paws and shaking her fur out before stepping away from the bushes. Her eyes landed on a large wolf who she automatically assumed was the new Alpha. Behind him were two other wolves and the traitor. Destiny dipped her head before speaking “excuse my bluntness. But is this a joke?” she asked with her eyes snapping from Liberty to Shy Fawn. The hair on her neck raised in anger, but Destiny composed herself. For now.

River nodded listening to her pack-mates discuss the plan for taking down the buck. She was excited about the potential meal this would bring to the pack. They needed it. She flicked her ears as Castor instructed her and Kaija to head towards the left side. She dipped her head and proceeded to walk that way. Pausing after a few steps to wait for kaija. Her tail flicked in anticipation. While River had been on multiple hunts in the past. She had actually never hunted a buck. She looked toward Kaija “have you hunted a buck before?” she asked quietly

Blaze listened to liberty speak to Shy fawn, he nodded his head in agreement. He was partly surprised the wolf wasn’t sent off to be alone, but he knew Liberty had a kind heart. It was one of the things Blaze admired about the Alpha. He flicked his tail, as liberty instructed Shy Fawn to stay behind Blaze as they approached his old pack. His eyes narrows into slits, watching as Shy Fawn fell behind him. Blaze offered a soft, almost inaudible growl as the now omega passed him. He knew better than to threaten the wolf, he should already feel threatened enough. Pulling him from his thoughts was the sudden rustling of the bushes in the StarLight border their Alpha had suddenly emerged. Blaze, never seeing their alpha before, studied her for a moment before scenting the air and noting there was still one more wolf. Likely the beta, Or warrior he thought to himself.
As the Starlight alpha asked if the situation was a joke; Blaze almost laughed. It definitely felt like one. He looked toward Liberty and Gauge to try and read their expressions. The fur on Blaze’s back rose with the anticipation of a potential scuffle. He looked back , his eyes now on ShyFawn. Blaze whispered to the wolf “ if you try anything I will tear you to shreds” he threatened before turning back to watch the Alphas

"There is no going back...." She paused for a long moment as the bad parts began to darken her mind. She felt she shadow that lurked her nightmares nipping her hind, she had to shake it. She rose to her feet and went into the open brazenly. She heard Mikage, but she unknowingly did register 'blood-moon'.
"Excuse me," she came upon the young pup, "Are you okay?"

Kaija nodded to Castor, then looked to River. "I've never hunted a buck this big..." She sounded concerned, maybe there was a reason for it. Something was strange with this buck, maybe he was born without fear, and his bravery did well by him to allow him to thrive so long. An abnormality for prey, bravery did few favors for grazers. "If we can bring the head to the ground, we remove the biggest threat. Are you nervous?" He began a slow trot along the tree line, going left as instructed. If they could spring the buck at the opposite side, it would drive him straight to Kaija and River. By heading it a little further ahead, even if it ran further into the open meadow, they'd have a head start. Kaija began to wonder if River had ever hunted something a little more armed than a doe. "River, if he turns his head to you, give him space and wait for the pack to circle."

He runs toward the buck and managed to do some reaction to the confused animal, but still, the buck seemed to be confused to know what he could be doing 'yeah there is seriously something wrong with the buck...' he thought attacking its back hip and waved his tail to the others to come back. This buck was not going anywhere, it was trying to fight back without running away, Castor was sure now why the buck was so odd, it was not blind, not deaf it had very serious brain damage, and maybe the buck was alone because he was going to die soon anyway.

He stayed the near the area which turned into a large field. He was preparing to go to the buck if he does get this far and without it running to the open area could mean a lot of chasing and running. He lowered his head down peeking around the bushes and seeing the pelt of the other hunters and even the red pelt in distance near the buck. His eyes narrowed to the buck when Castor did his first strike, but it didn't go the way he thought it to go. The hunters needed to get back to where the buck was being all the time, it was not running anywhere, or so it seemed in his eyes, but maybe it may change when the buck notice the other wolves being around it.
