CS Needs Another Archivist

Full disclosure - I have no idea how running a website or archive works so I could be talking nonsense

I don't understand why the archive isn't 'preloaded' like events are. With events, its always 8am CSST that things rollover and new stuff is added and accessible so I'm assuming this is done on a timer and not done manually by a person at the same time everyday. Couldn't the archive be done like this where it's set up to just appear once rollover has occurred? That way the archivist can do the work before hand so that there isn't the opportunity to be late (baring extenuating circumstance where they were unable to complete the work beforehand) and they can just "set it and forget it" rather than having to be on CS everyday.

Honestly, I would love for one of the mods to come on and possibly explain how archiving works! I'd love to know, that way we can get a better understanding as to how it works. c:

I too have no idea how archiving works (tbh one thing I'd like is more transparency from/among the staff) but I think having another archivist could really help, or just another archiving system in general! CS has dozens of pets each month and the archive system in general imo needs some QOL updates, so this could be helpful.

With how many pets are released on monthly timers and the size of event releases, I can't wrap my head around how we don't have more archivists already... full support!
