The darker ears and darker tipped tail moved a bit. She nodded at Labrador, and gave the male a small smile as she did so. She wasn't going to tell any-wolf he was kind of attractive. Her crush was on Liberty, anyway, but she had...other feelings.

She glanced to Kaija, as he looked at her a moment, and she tilted her head. She wondered what he was thinking in that moment. Probably that it was good there was no herd. That meant they could take this buck, and feed many wolves. She nodded and said "Okay," as Kaija said he'd get the others. She sat and waited, since one or both, her and or Labrador, had to stay here. Some-wolf needed to watch the buck. Just in case he began to wander off. She sniffed the air a bit, eyes on the buck and keeping him in sight. He seemed most interested in grazing, in eating, at the moment.

They made a sound of worry as she looked at them then away. They saw the misery in her eyes...and knew it was because of Rusted's passing. They went and nuzzled her, then looked to Althea. "Althea...what do we do?" they asked the other healer.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked between them. The white foot black phase she wolf smiled a wolf smile when their alpha thanked her. She nodded at him, and said "You're welcome," then continued to walk. She watched as he looked ahead with yellow eyes. She tilted her head a bit as she watched, then shook her head. She sniffed again, but still, nothing seemed out of place. Nothing seemed out of place, yet. She flicked her tail a couple times, and perked her ears. She kept an eye out, and nodded at Destiny, saying "We'll keep an eye out, we won't let out guard down."

She glanced to Blaze as he then said he didn't mean to alarm them, but...something else was there. She twitched her ears and flicked her tail. She sniffed the air as he said this. "Is it a starlight wolf?" she asked, though it could be one of their own sneaking out.

She'd always loved his stories, though she was grown up now. He wondered if she still at least respected him. The way she spoke to him, though, he figured she definitely held respect for him. He nodded again, saying "Walking and talking is just fine with me." He continued to smile that wolf smile at her.

The white muzzled shadowy one nodded at him. "Of course mold is a bad thing," they said, and shook their head a couple times. They really hoped it wasn't mold...because mold could be terrible. Then again, fleas and ticks weren't nice either. "Alright...this way," they said. They led the way into the den, and headed for where Whisper had said his nest was. "I don't know if you want to check the nests around his...I think if there's a tick, it's going to be there because it's already full and well fed, so that tick wouldn't be a problem anymore."

I...don't know any of their scents...I only know Eros', but if we can pick up his anywhere then we're good."

He sighed "Nah! I don't think we can really do anything for them...that's the healer's job to make them feel better" he responded simply. He looked at her "I donät mind going to the meadow, but what do we do about skullcap or wild lettuce?" he asked her rather confused.

He shooked his head "I think that's kind of a waste of time to check all the nests if those have fleas or ticks those wolves will start to show up with some itching or sickness or anything those things bring to us" he responded lightly. He then thought more about his words "do those things die in cold? I don't think they could be that active this time of the season, anyway?" he said.

She started to work on those herbs she was going to use on the Foxleap's leg. She needed to give a better look at the injury to see how much it was broken actually so she could think about the best way to make it better, She didn't want to make things worse and she did want that she may use that leg sometime, maybe not fully, but still use it.

He was scanning the buck during the time when Jessie was gone to check the area and Kaija was looking for the two other wolves from their pack. He noticed that there was something odd about the large buck, but it did seem to be healthy and didn't have any showing injuries. His ears perked on Jessie when she got back "yes it is strange...maybe...I may be wrong too, but I think thart buck is blind...and likely lost or chased away by its herd?" he said silently.

Elle's tail began to wag behind her and her tongue plopped out in a happy smile.
"Oh the meadow is beautiful right now. Those are plants for pain and nerves." She stood waiting for Mikage to rise so she could walk shoulder to shoulder with him. Such small things, like friendly company, were blessings.
"My mother used to bring them for our elder in cold seasons. Thick snow made her legs hurt, sometimes she couldn't even walk in winter. The lettuce almost look spikey, but they're not, and have white veins on their underside. It grows everywhere."

Finally, after a long pause in his search, Kaija caught the scent of the hunting party, and as he followed it, began to hear them quietly talking. The voices drifted, but Kaija followed it none the less. He played the scenerio in his head, and each one was successful. How could it fail? 5 strong, able bodied, perfected hunting machines.
His hefty body weaved between the thin trees and as he closed in on Castor and River, his tail began to wag.
As he swung himself behind them, he kept his voice low, "Castor, River...."
His lips pulled into a one sided smirk, "We've found a buck. Labrador and Jessie are staying with it in the tree line at the edge of the meadow."

He knows the grass is below him, and how far to lower his head. Then again...that's probably because he can feel and smell it. Otherwise...he seems healthy, so I'm guessing he's blind or deaf. If he is, the herd would have had no problem driving him off. That or a healthy buck came in and chased him away," she said to Labrador.

He watched the buck at the distance "of course they are, even we can survive when blind or deaf, but only because of our pack...if that buck is blind then maybe it was blinded recently for eye infection or some other reason, but we can't be sure...if that is even blind at all..." he responded to the female wolf 'yeah there could be a way to check if that is blind or not, but knowing how good other senses those animals had...it could ruin our hunt for sure...' he thought to himself.

He shook his head and watched around the somewhat empty camp, as he was being snapped late he didn't really know what was going on in there, but there was something going on at the healer's den. He decided to take a look at their den "knock knock there ladies and gentlemen...anyway is there something going on in here? I am pretty sure a pup just ran off and that one is not breathing...oh?" he said his eyes looking to the elder's body at the den.

It was a curious situation that as soon as Blaze mentioned the small group was no longer alone as they persisted to the border that a wolf once thought loyal to the Starlight appeared suddenly. The brute was taken back when the traitorous Shy Fawn appeared suddenly out of a nearby bush exclaiming to the Alpha and his current followers that he was ready to leave. Liberty stopped abruptly in his path to snarl at the wolf showing his fangs. “You are mistaken. You are no follower of mine. Run back to the pack you betrayed our love for…” he said angrily absolutely distraught this wolf of all times chose now. He proudly stepped in front of his two fighters acting as a meat shield between them and this wolf.

Again, another ridiculous situation hindered the completion of his tasks for the day. Under his leadership, he vowed to never harm a wolf who betrayed but he as well vowed that he would never accept a wolf, who left of their own free will, back into a rank higher than a lowly omega. He admittedly let his emotions take charge of his judgment and would need someone to consult him if he is wrong to be aggressive toward a traitor. The only way Shy Fawn could recover is by swearing fielty to the Redmoon pack.

Dante

A pleasant silence occasionally occurred between the two as they walked on leaving him to his thoughts. He could hear her attempt at reassurance which would have quelled the anxiety of a simpler wolf but Dante was too pragmatic, Of course, he truly found Destiny’s humorous comment amusing and his lack of reaction has everything to do with the box he forces himself into. The loss of his mate pushed him behind a wall of shame where nothing even mattered.

The brute could smell their heavy musk as well when his Alpha mentioned the Redmoon’s outstanding diligence in their duty. “That is a virtue I admittedly respect and strive to achieve myself. I hope to receive such compliments on my work..”, he commented, “Hmph. If their alpha doesn’t already have precautionary measures to mitigate the issue then the pack deserves to fail,” he said stiffly disagreeing with the blessing that his beloved alpha bestowed onto the enemy pack.

As the two persisted forward a rotten smell he could only describe as Redmoon filth filled his nostrils, he nudged his Alphess gently which was out of character for him who rarely touched anyone, “We are not alone as we approach the border Destiny. Shall we continue?” he paused briefly waiting for her response and if Destiny chose to continue he would be ready to maim any wolf who would seek to cause Destiny harm.

Pleased with the old brute's response she motioned to the exit of the den beckoning Kikui to follow her after his final comment. “Come then, storyteller. “ She said softly as she faced the exit of the den to begin walking. Hutten was unsure how she would spark up a conversation with the older brute because socializing wasn't a strength of hers maybe she could get him to explain the meaning of the stories he told when Hutten was a pup.

All the commotion made by the activity of the other wolves around him didn't stir him from his rest inside the Healers' den. He had sought care from Maison the day before after having so foolishly tripped over a stump later in the day. Afterward, he simply fell asleep where he was treated. He snored softly even as Maison, Athena, and a pup named daisy reentered. He was unaware of any other events that had occurred in this den throughout the day.

He needed to be protected and safe, while she was a warrior and could fight. If there was to be a fight, she should be the one in front. She only shook her head and stayed where she was.

Destiny padded beside Dante, watching his reactions to her words. She could tell he took them to heart and she appreciated such. Dante was a wolf she - clearly , held in high regard. Destiny nodded at his comments "It's easy to compliment your work. it's the new expectation - er standard if it sounds better, for the pack" she added before the conversation switched back to the RedMoon Pack. His words were harsh, but true. If their new leader wasn't prepared, then it showed their true colors. Her mind flooded suddenly with "what-if's" and worst case scenarios regarding both packs. She would of hoped that if her pack needed assistance during the winter that she could look to the new alpha and vice versa. They both shared the same area, they may as well try to keep each pack alive. It was a bit out of textbook , especially from what Destiny was taught about the packs. But maybe it was time to build that bridge. She opened her mouth to propose the idea to Dante when Destiny was Pulled into reality with a nudge given to Dante.

Destiny shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She quickly scented the air, a shudder creeping up her spine with the realization of what it was. "Let's continue. You never know. One of them may have decided to be stupid and cross our border" she commented. Her fur rose slightly as they walked. "We just need to keep our heads on straight. We will not be making the first move" she added.

River nodded towards Castor , his words meant something to her. They wouldn't catch anything by sitting and planning, they needed action in order to be successful - in which they needed to be. She transferred her weight between front paws, the anticipation building. As Kaija approached, River turned her attention to the hunter. She offered a warm smile as he approached, her tail wagging gently at the good news of finding a buck.

Hearing there was only one, River mumbled"One is strange" in agreement with Castor. She couldn't help but feel a little concern as to why there was only one. Nevertheless , it was something. And they would catch it, they needed too. River flicked her tail the adrenaline beginning to flow though her veins. "Alright, lets go" she said softly

The fur on the back of Blaze's neck rose as a sudden tension filled the air, he was about to comment about the presence he sensed when one of the wolves who were previously in the RedMoon Pack had come running towards their patrol. Blaze growled out of intinction. As Liberty stepped in front of Blaze and Guage, he shook his head. Walking to stand closer to Liberty, he knew while it was the Alpha duty to protect his pack, Blaze also had a job to do - which was protect Liberty. He wouldn't open his mouth, or comment on ShyFawn's re-appearance. That was the least of Blaze's worries.
Blaze raised his head, his eyes locking onto ShyFawn. Waiting for a response - almost praying it would of gone south so Blaze had a reason to tear someone apart. Especially a wolf who had abandoned their pack for another? What was that even about. Looking back at Gauge, he offered her a small nod, hopefully letting her know the situation - whatever it was. Would be handled.

He scented the air once again, something wasn't sitting right with him. ShyFawn wasn't the only wolf approaching. The additional scents from earlier were growing stronger. Blaze tensed, his eyes scanning between the brush lining the border and the wolves near him. Something was happening - and all Blaze knew was he needed to protect his pack.

Mavis shook her head slowly "No, not at all. I just needed time to myself, it's nice even though it's a little chilly" the she wolf gave the two female wolves near her a small node of respect before standing up on her four paws.
I'f you'd excuse me, i did want to get a nap in before the rest of the day continued" Mavis gave a small nod before walking away towards camp. She liked Chi and Freya, but today she wasn't in a talkative mood, she wanted to hunt and that's it. She had a nice time talking to the she wolves though, as she made her way back to camp she made her way back to the prey ground to see if there was any more prey put in it, her mouse was there still. Mavis shrugged it off and headed towards the hunters den, as she entered the den Mavis went into the far corner of the cave and sat down, grooming herself before making a soft grunt to the ground and shut her eyes.
