I'm leaning more toward sextant, personally. Spyglasses tend not to have that extra little cylindrical piece on the top of it, plus the beams coming off the bottom. Here is a decent example of the type of sextant I think this one on the rat would be. c:

I was thinking telescope because the background looks like stars! either way, it looks so cool!

Actually, since you said that, fun fact! Sextants work by using the moon and stars to measure longitude. ^^ It could still be a spyglass or a telescope of course, we won't know for sure until the artist confirms.

{the top part is actually what threw me off being certain! Some of the spyglasses I saw while poking around actually have that as well, while some sextants don't. So I'm really not sure xD hopefully all the rats will be confirmed once the last one? is grown 💚}

Quick casual poll, everyone was in a panic over their puppies but I'm down to just one newborn kitten, is THAT normal?

I have two kittens left. Which doesn't seem unreasonable to me. There was an adoption limit of 12? so 6 outcomes is a little on the short side, but not unusually so.



Strawberry Ice Cream Chickie is my new favorite. She came from my last little egg too. <3

I really enjoy the chickens this month. I hope the adults turn out just as lovely.

I'm out of kittens completely and I was already missing two other kitten outcomes. I'm also now out of caterpillars and was out of chick eggs before today, so I missed the pink chick. This month isn't a good one for me apparently lol.

I'm really confused that there were 5 outcomes for the chickens but an adoption limit of 6 !!
Months and adoption limits have been a bit weird lately.
Like the trolling rats also.

I've got 2 more baby cats but thankfully I've gotten all of the outcomes so far without trading.
As for dogs, I have 4 left, a TON of mine turned into the first grey outcome (literally 7 of them - I hope there's a split!)

I agree! I only got 3 out of the 5 outcomes from my adoptions and had to trade for the other 2.
Personally, when doing monthly swaps, I avoid people who only prefer litter swaps for this reason, otherwise I’d be screwed

There was a butterfly wolf litter in 2013 that had an adoption limit of 4 with 5 outcomes, so there's been weirder.

I personally have 2 kittens left and 4 dogs. Most of mine turned into the reddish outcome.
With the way the newborn looks almost like paint swatches, we may just get three outcomes that split three ways (9 outcomes) with a possible greyscale PPS or adult at the end which would be 10 total outcomes with an adoption limit of 13.

I could be completely wrong though as the two that have grown really don't look much alike. I would actually think they came from two different litters.

I've been keeping track of outcomes and adoption limits since November 2016 (first Outcome Thread posted), and while it's more rare to have 1 or less "spare", it does happen! The last time there was only 1 spare was February 2022 (foxes had an adopt limit of 6 and 5 outcomes), and the last time we had 0 spares was March 2020 (BWs had 4 outcomes with an adopt limit of 4, AND ponies had 6 outcomes/6 adopt limit). March 2020 also had a litter of 8 with 7 outcomes (horses), so it was a bad time all around lol and not just on CS.

96.5% of the 650 litters I have data on had at least 2 spares though! And of the 170 litters of 6, only 4 (2.4%) had 1 or fewer outcomes!

I was trying to think of what the theme I wanted to do for chickens this month and I just kept thinking about how I wanted some ice cream haha
So I knew what had to be done!
