"or what?" inquires ravensong with a smirk. the storm has begun to settle on camp ground, rain pounding on the den. some water drips into the den in small, slow droplets. "you know, I'm not afraid of you. you may have got me cornered, but there are more of us here. after all, wouldn't want anything to happen to the healer. would be a reaal shame to find him and his apprentice... dead. poor cat couldn't fight if his life depended on it, especially in his exhausted state. and his apprentice? her pathetic clawless paws couldn't do anything. I say they should have left her in that river to drown."

hollypaw and dawnstripe sleep soundly. someone creeps into the den.

He blinks at the threat, thinking. "Then I'll weed out the betrayers." Is whispered to himself, one paw lashes out - robbing this RavenSong of life with the quick movement.

Lifeblood spills from the throat of the he-cat as Fallen darts from the den; he leaps over the heads of the warriors he'd assigned to guard the leaders den and the prisoners - wincing when his ribs are jarred. Paws are soundless as he moves into the medicine cats' den, blue eyes full of fury.

the mysterious white cat silently pads over to one of the nests. in it is goldfame. "wake up, mousebrain" is hissed at the sleeping cat. before he can yelp, the strange cat clamps her paw down on his mouth, silencing him. "redclaw? what are you doing here?" "whaddaya think I'm doing? I'm finishing the job." "ugh, why did you wake me up?" "cause I need your help. you need'a keep watch in case that ghost-cat thing sees us." "great, but why do we need to kill the medicine cat?" "its to send a message to fallenrain or whatever his name is. we can't kill him, but we can kill his friends. then, because he's suuuch a hero, he'll resign from chief duties to protect his loved ones." "then quit talking, and get to work." redclaw creeps to where the medicine cat lays. "hmm. I should do the apprentice first, because the little fleabag puts up a fight." "why, scared of a clawless kit?" goldflame taunts from the nest. without an answer, she unsheathes her claws, ready to end the sleeping apprentice. the heavy rain provides a cover for fallen, who runs to the den, eyes glowing in a rage.

StarClan must favor him; as the rain masks his pawsteps and breath. He hears what's been said as he barrels into the den - claiming the he-cats life and then squaring off with the cat called RedClaw, though he still hasn't been seen. His eyes are a flat gray expanse as he leaps onto the white cat with a silent snarl of rage. Unfortunately he can't stop the apprentice being targeted, can't stop the wound on her cheek from the she-cats claws. But he'd succeed nonetheless.

It doesn't take long before he stands, breathing deeply over the white cats dead body. "Le- Leaf-Paw." Is panted worriedly, "Dawn-Stripe." He casts a glance at the ex leader, "Wake up." Is demanded.

hollypaw wakes up with a jolt, the searing pain on her face pulling her out from her sleep. she squeaks with pain, blue eyes darting around, finding the threat. she sees the white ragdoll locked in combat with fallen. reflexively she tries pulling out her claws, only to be met with nothing. she cowers behind dawnstripe, also woken. he shields her with his body, and soon, redclaw lays motionless under the paws of fallen. "don't worry, no one will hurt you now" dawnstripe speaks to his apprentice in a soft tone. she comes out from behind dawnstripe and looks up at fallen. "are you okay?" she asks, voice shaky. cloudlight, already awoken by the sounds of fighting, tried to do something. but weather it was that the herbs were still working, he hadn't eaten in a while or his injuries, he couldn't stand. "w-what was that?" is almost rasped.

He's exhausted; so many fights. He isn't invincible after all! But.. there's still something to do. Something important. The silver cat whirls and stalks out of the den; he is soon nose to nose with the last traitor of the group that he knows about. "WHY are your clan members trying to kill the medicine cat and his apprentice? In addition to your ex leader?! " Is demanded in a hiss, eyes still colorless and flat, he ignores the quivering of the two who were standing watch over the little white cat. "My patience is running thin." Is sneered, ignoring how his shoulder is still dislocated. Or is it re dislocated? And how an injury across his chest burns.

the rain pelts the ground, soaking everyone outside. frostfleet cowers as fallenstar looms above him, demanding answers. he weighs his chances. telling fallen the truth would be the right thing to do, but if they found that he ratted them out, he'd be dead. on the other hand, if he lied, the silver tom would figure it out and kill him. he makes his decision. "l-let me start from the beginning. a while ago, our old medicine cat predicted a prophecy from starclan. she said that the clan's numbers would dwindle, but a black spotted cat would lead us to victory at sunhigh. everyone laughed, because the clan was one of the strongest. we had many, and most were fiercely loyal. the next day, the medicine cat disappeared. soon, cloudlight took over, and just like she said, the population began depleting. many began to believe the prophecy was real, with crookedpatch the brown spotted cat. after he defeated cloudlight, you killed him and became the next chief. in their eyes, that wasn't supposed to happen. you disrupted their prophecy and they do not want you here. so they decided to kill dawnstripe and hollypaw to unnerve you. scare you." silence follows, leaving only the sound of wind and rain.
(he is telling the truth)

dawnstripe licks the cut on hollypaw and disinfects it, leaving a wad of moss. she curls up next to dawnstripe and tries to fall asleep.

"It was sunhigh yesterday when he led you to victory. " Is snapped angrily, the information passing through him though he is memorizing it. "That prophecy is fulfilled!"

Suddenly he yowls, "Let all cats of ThunderClan gather here!"

as if by magic, cats begin finding their way up to the clearing. cats young and old stand before him. they bow. frostfleet sees a calico glare back at him. his blood runs cold. he can't run or hide from her. she knows what he did. it's over for him.

dawnstripe gets up to go. "its okay. you don't have to come if you can't." "I-It's okay. besides, I'd feel safer with fallenstar near." the two join the cats in the clearing.

"FrostFleet, point out those cats who are traitors." Is murmured as he turns to the semi-circle of ThunderClan. "Listen here ThunderClan!" Is ordered, blue eyes blazing. "I know about the Prophecy from your medicine cat, one about a speckled black cat leading you to victory. Saving your clan. Don't you see it is fulfilled? " Is asked, "it was sun high yesterday when ______ fought your previous leader. I was following another Prophecy. "
