Sparrowfoot made a small noise as he crashed into the larger reddish tom, but managed to avoid falling over. He backed off slowly and shook out his fur in embarrassment. "Sorry Hollowsight, I didn't see you..." he trailed off when he met the tom's cloudy eyes. "I mean... I wasn't paying attention." He tried to recover awkwardly. He dipped his head, genuinely distressed by his own foolishness. He was entirely unsure how to respond to the other tom's relatively kind greeting, "right, sorry, good morning," he stammered a bit.
He viewed Canaryspeckle's approach as a promising way out of the awkward situation, "G'morning Canaryspeckle, that's nice of you, you must have had a busy morning," he noted, still casting a guilty glance at Hollowsight and secretly hoping nobody else had seen his clumsiness.

in this moment, martenfang was especially glad to have a friend like halfmask. no one else in the clan could match her fiery energy other than her. "we'll try our best to avoid them, but if something happens, something happens," she mewed, remaining in stride with the she-cat. she wanted to make sure they were safe in case a rogue came at them through the bushes.

as they advanced further into moonclan's outlying territory, martenfang wrinkled her nose. the stench was awful. "let's adjust these scent markers," she said, giving her pal a wink. "then they'll know we figured out their dirty little game."

stoatwhisker couldn't hold back the smile on his face as the she-cat primped herself up a bit as he approached. there was something... charming about it, almost, but he couldn't quite place his paw on how it really made him feel. being the shy tom he was, he never really expected anyone to make such an effort to look good in his presence.

the tom curtly nodded at the she-cat's response before replying to her question. "not exactly," he said, curling his tail over his paws. "i sure did smell them, though. it looks like they're trying to take over another chunk of our territory."

behavior like this was unacceptable. moonclan would have to be on high alert in the coming sunrises. "a few patrols have gone out since then, though," he then added, attempting to keep up the morale. "martenfang and halfmask were among them. they certainly weren't too pleased to hear about the situation." stoatwhisker sighed. "i hope they don't actually run into any of them, though. the last thing we need is for a full-blown battle before sunhigh."

vinesnake had risen from his nest very early this morning, bidding both a greeting and a farewell to his fellow lead warriors as he slinked out of moonclan camp. he'd left under the guise of checking scent markers, but in reality he was on his way to work with the rogues rather than against them... but not a single other cat knew.

the warrior couldn't help but smirk at the strong musk of them as he continued on his trek through the forest. things must've been moving and shaking overnight, and he couldn't help but wonder if this meant they were staging another attack soon.

after a few more heartbeats of traipsing through the undergrowth, vinesnake arrived at the familiar eroding twoleg den. it was guarded by a plethora of rogue members, but they let him through without a word. at this point, these cats all knew him like he was one of their own, and it made his heart swell with pride... and the undying ambition for more.

he stepped inside, whiskers twitching as he glanced around in search of a cat who could string his newest intel along to thunder. someone would approach him eventually, he hoped—especially since he didn't know where the leader was.

Grassflame sat at the waters' edge, staring down into the pool. Suddenly she saw a flash of scale. She leapt forward, her paws shooting out from underneath her, and grasped the fish under the water. She pulled it out and smacked it against a rock, and then swifly killed it. Feeling much better, she padded back to the waterfall behind which the camp lay.

Shadowsage stepped into the Cave, his mouse dangling in his jaws. He dropped it on the fresh-kill pile, with a glance to the nursery where Branchfilight was sharing fresh-kill with Willowbreeze. He couldn't help noticing the beautiful cream of Willowbreeze's pelt, although he tried to persuade himself not to.

"Oh um well...." The smaller tom shifted on his paws. "I was wondering if I could maybe join your clan?" He asked shyly, looking down at his paws. "I was always curious and honestly ment you no harm. I know that's probably not the best way to ask huh?"

Willowbreeze smiled at the other she cat. "Of course. I wouldn't mind hunting with you Branchflight. I think we'd catch a lot together." She said happily. She happened to glance over at Sageshadow. She liked the tom. He was always so sweet and kind to her and honestly was a bit of fresh air. She gave him a sweet smile.

Hollowsight just shook his head. "It's no worries Sparrowfoot." He said with an amused mew. "And it happens. No need to apologize to me."
"Hello Canaryspeckle." He said with a kind smile to the molly. "I greatly appreciate it thank you." He said with a dip of his head.

The tiny she cat gave Catherina a little hiss like her brother, before moving to stand protectively infront of them. "Wh...who are you? You're not our momma!"

Thorn just gave the young tom a kind smile. She stopped beside him and sniffed the air. "You're right. Come let's go see what's going on. You lead the way."

"Agreed." She mewed, looking around as they walked. "Of course." She said, remarking their sent markers. A snap of a twig caught he attention then a flash of fur. "After them!" She hissed tearing after the mysterious cat.

Ice spotted Vinesnake come into their little camp. She always found the tom interesting and liked when he was around. "Hello Vinesnake." Her voice smooth but cold like ice. She jumped down from her perch and padded up to the dark colored tom. "I'm assuming since you're here you have news to share?" She asked, sitting and curling her tail around her paws. Her blue eyes watching the tom.


Nightshadow/25 moons/Rogue/ Halfmask, Martenfang

Nightshadow was out and about, moving through the underbrush as he was marking the sent markers. He quickly stopped however when he spotted two Moonclan warriors. He recognized them as Halfmask and Martenfang, two she cats he didn't want to mess with. He tried to get away without being seen, but stepped on a twig. It snapped under his paw and he hissed quietly as he turned and ran, hearing one of them yell, "After them!"

He blinked his eyes as the loner kept talking "yeah your ways to approve someone need some practice" he murmured silently, his eyes looked elsewhere for a moment "join? hah, you sure choose the horrible time to ask that..." he said, but didn't say anything else about the clan's possible rogue problems. He sighed "anyway it's not me who chooses if you will be joining us or not...it's our leader..." he said. He wondered if taking this loner to the camp to speak with the Shadestar could be the right way, the clan was very alert because of those rogues, and would Shdestar even let this loner join them? He had no clue.

She gave a smile to the queen, licking her lips as her eyes followed the queen's stare toward the Sageshadow "hm? So what's your relationship with him?" she meowed suddenly, giving a lick to her forepaws. She was not jealous of the she-cat, even if she was pretty...or maybe she was a little bit, but she didn't want to be.

She looked at her mentor and her brother, before nodding. Her eyes turned to Ducksplash as well to hear his answer to the questions, but as far as she thought it was okay with tom as he didn't seem to argue against it even if he didn't give an answer to the questions yet.

She looked at the Sparrowfoot noticing the embarrassment the tom gave there, but she didn't really know why. She didn't notice the bumping happening between the two toms and didn't bother to ask about the nervousness either. She shook her head to Sparrowfoot's question "not really, there is way too much of mice there in the forest" she responded with a nod to the Hollowsight.

She took a step back after hearing the hissing "uh, I am sorry I didn't mean to scare you...I was just here and heard your crying..." she meowed flattering her ears a little bit "I am Catherina...uh...are you lost perhaps? you to look hungry?" she meowed. She flicked her tail a little bit nervous as if there were so young kits, there could be their mother somewhere close and she didn't want to get face to face with their mother now. Though she didn't scent any cats smell there, the kits looked like they were being alone for a while.

He luffs his fur to look bigger and scarier, but being so small it didn't really work at all. He made a little couch and looked at his sister then at the stranger "where is our mom? She could be back already?" he meowed suddenly rather worried.

He looked at the stranger cat, staying silent, he was feeling too weak and he was hungry. He gave one deep sigh, he felt disappointed that the cat was not their mother, but she didn't seem like a bad one, or was she only acting?

She smiled at her "Alright, if I could teach you, I could want to see what you can do right now?" she meowed her ears perked as she listened to the voices of the wind and trees. There was plenty of prey around here now, they could bring something back to the camp "now then, hunt me something? Show me your skills young one" she meowed as she sat down on the grass. She felt like she was back in Moonclan when she was training those apprentices, a smile on her face when she looked at the Belladonna, but there was this dark thought in her head too. Someday she may need to face those apprentices in a battle, including what the commander is planning.

Cindershade laid out in the forest relaxing in the sun with her eyes closed. The only thing notifying anyone who might be observing her that she wasn't actually asleep were her ears moving showing that she was listening in to her surroundings. She had been out earlier doing some solo hunting, catching a vole and three mice. Pleased with her current bounty Cindershade decided to take a break and enjoy some peace and quiet before heading back to camp. She sighed quietly and shifted so she could be more comfortable.

Ravenpaw was curled at the entrance of the apprentice den keeping an eye out for his mentor. Sageshadow had been out for a while and Ravenpaw was starting to get bored. Hearing someone enter the cave Ravenpaw perked up and saw his mentor leaving a mouse on the fresh kill pile. Ravenpaw immediately got up and trotted over although he was quick to slow down not wanting to appear over eager. As he got closer to Sageshadow, Ravenpaw noticed his mentor was looking at something, which was revealed to be Willowbreeze and Branchflight. Resisting the urge to roll his eyes Ravenpaw cleared his throat as he got closer "Hello, Sageshadow, what are we going to be doing for training today" Ravenpaw asked curtly.

"Great Idea!"

Wildfur headed across camp, and poked her head into the apprentices den. She saw Redpaw's brown and white shape rising and falling in the corner. She crept in and brushed Redpaw with her tail.
"Wake up, we're going on a hunting patrol with Shadestar."

As Grassflame headed into camp, she dropped her fresh-kill on the pile. She suddenly felt very tired, and so headed for the warriors den for a quick nap.
She settled down in her nest and started to lick herself to get out some of the moisture from her fur. Once she had licked herself reasonably dry, she laid her head on her paws and closed her eyes.

Sageshadow saw Willowbreeze smiling back at him. He nervously retured the smile, and then studied his paws.
"Hello, Sageshadow, what are we going to be doing for training today?"
Sageshadow whipped around to see his apprentice staring up at him cooly.
"Oh, hello Ravenpaw. I thought I would teach you how to fish today if that's alright with you."
He took one last look at the nursery where Willowbreeze was back in conversation with Branchflight, and then gave his full attention to his apprentice.
"Are you ready to go now?" He asked Ravenpaw.

Honeyfeather twitched her ears at the news, not liking the sound of it. The rogues were a real problem. The conflict would have to come to a head eventually, but she dreaded the thought. At least for now, they were scraping by, but the idea that they couldn't keep up a border was distressing.
"Yeah, hopefully we have a peaceful day," she commented, feeling slightly foolish for her behavior before, knowing he had faced the reality of the conflict while she was fast asleep. "Yeah, looks like there's a lot of cats out there," Honeyfeather noted, glancing around the quiet camp, "I'm sure they'll be able to handle a few rogues if they run into them."

Sparrowfoot crouched and tucked into the mouse, polishing it off quickly. He sat up and cleaned his paws, "thanks Canaryspeckle, I appreciate it," he said honestly, nodding his head. "Do you two want to do a quick lap of the border?" He asked, itching to do something and the threat of rogues was ever looming.
