The darker ears and darker tipped tail moved a bit. She tilted her head as he spoke, and listened to what Kaija had to say. She nodded, saying "I...will scout ahead. If you two want me too," she then quickly said, not wanting to upset them. Well, she didn't want to upset Labrador. Maybe he wanted to be the one to scout ahead.

They shook their head a couple times as they stood there. All they could really do was stand there and wait...Therefore, they continued to wait for Althea to come back. They really hoped Daisy was okay, as they'd be upset if she wasn't.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked between them. The white foot black phase she wolf nodded at their alpha. Blaze had had a really good idea, so she'd said it was good. She now looked between the two males. She dipped her head when he mentioned relying on them both. "Ah, yes, you can rely on us both; having a hunting party is a good idea." She then fell silent once more. There wasn't much for her to say, but she'd said what she could say.

She glanced to Blaze as he then spoke to Liberty. She dipped her head a moment, then shook it before raising it. She hummed a canine sound, then let a breath out of her mouth. She shook her head again, and flicked her tail a couple times. She tilted her head as he mentioned working with Starlight wolves. She almost asked if that was such a bad idea, but instead kept quiet. She raised her head higher to sniff the air. All she smelled yet were their own scent markings, but that could change...she knew.

The still handsome aging male blinked. The black-phase wolf couldn't help a small smile that grew on his face as she spoke. He nodded as he looked at the younger wolf. She'd always loved his stories, though she was grown up now. He wondered if she still at least respected him. The way she spoke to him, though, he figured she definitely held respect for him. He nodded again, saying "Walking and talking is just fine with me." He continued to smile that wolf smile at her.

The white muzzled shadowy one looked between Scythe and Wolfcry a moment. They then made a small sound as Whisper spoke. "Thank you," they said to the male. They headed off to the den, passing by Kairo, Yomi and Kuroi on the way. They looked at them a moment, then shook their head. They hurried into the den, to the nest in the back left.

"We could sneak out...and maybe he...wants to see me," he said. He honestly hoped Eros actually wanted to see him. Even though Eros had up and disappeared..

As Mavis made her way back to camp, a wolf's scent and voice had caught her attention. Stopping in her tracks, Mavis looked over to see Freya and Chi her sister, Mavis nodded towards Freya as she asked the she wolf a question "yes, i needed time alone" the she wolf looked over to Chi as she showed her what she caught, Mavis chuckled "Hello Chi, better hunting than me, hm? I was only able to catch a mouse, unfortunately" Mavis looked over behind the female wolves, to see more snow around, more dead trees and bushes, twigs, she once again didn't mind the cold, but quite enjoyed the warm weather better. Mavis looked back at the she wolf sisters, giving them a small friendly flick of her tail before sitting down. Her pelt was wet from her washing herself from the stream, looking a bit shaggy.

She avoided the older Wolf's questions, instead getting up. She walked into Maisons den. She did not say anything, sitting in the entrance.

He looked at Wolfcry when the warrior left the group around the healers "Wolfcry? What's going on in here?" he asked the male when he walked closer to the den of warriors and hunters.

She watched the young warrior walking away to check the Whisper's den just like she was asked him to do. She turned to Foxleap "can you walk enough to get to the healer's den? to the right there is an empty nest just for patients, I need to get some herbs, leaves, and sticks to your leg" she said. She then looked at Whisper "Whisper, you go inside the den as well, we need to wait for Wolfcry to get back with his knowledge about your nest..maybe there is something that could be a reason for your sickness" she said.

She looked at Kiaro and her Kuroi "uh okay, yeah we could sneak out, but how? there are too many eyes at the camp right now, there is no way for us to leave without someone to notice?" she said looking around for the wolves.

She looked at Yomi when she asked the question about how they could leave "hmm... I don't know really, but there is a large group hanging around the healer's den focusing on something so they could not maybe see us...but the others at our camp...Any ideas Kairo?" she asked the male pup.

He shook his head and smiled at the younger hunter "no that's a great idea, River" he said to her "we could yes backup the others if they are going after the buck, but we could see what's around that buck as well... bucks are big and strong, we don't want to anyone to get hurt so if we can see a smaller buck, or Doe we go after them before taking the risk with that one" he said.

He listened to the other two and thought "we could scout around a little bit before taking that buck, as that buck seems pretty large and if there is his herd nearby that buck may become a treat to us" he said. He then flicked his ears "Eventually we would need Castor and River too to get that buck" he said. He looked at Jessie "yeah that sounds good for you to scout ahead I don't mind" he said to her.

He took a long and nice nap in the den, but the bright sunlight coming to his nest forced him to wake up. He opened his tired eyes and was confused about what time of day it was now, likely afternoon as the sun was still up and the camp seemed very quiet. Shooking his dark pelt the warrior got out of the den, blinking his eyes as he tried to look around the camp. There was nothing big in the fresh-kill pile, except for a hare or two, but it didnät really bother him. He took one of the already cold prey and started to eat it.

She looked at her sister and then at Mavis "I think mice are pretty good too even if either of these squirrels or the mice are not enough to feed the pack, but still something" she said with a sigh. She looked at the water and walked next to Mavis to take a drink "does alpha know you left there alone? we didn't say to anyone, and now I remembered that we maybe could be needed at the camp" she said with a laugh.

She smiled at the Mavis when she praised her catch, which was not much, but for a clumsy hunter like her, this squirrel was a big thing. Hunting this squirrel by herself made her more self-esteem, she didn't feel often that way when hunting with the other hunters as she was afraid to fail things.

She crouched and began to move forward. She wondered if it looked odd, considering she wasn't a feline.

Liberty

The alpha increased his trotting pace again as the group continued, his gaze fell to Jessie as she agreed for both herself and Blaze that they would have no aversion to working paw-in-paw with the hunters. “Thank you Guage.”

He was pleased when he returned his attention back to Blaze as the brute continued speaking taking note of the ease that Blaze was speaking with him around Gauge. His eyes narrowed a bit as he listened to blaze propose that he could Speak with Castor about the situation leaving Liberty available for organizing the groups when Castor agreed. He considered Blaze’s words and thought of two responses that he felt were adequate to Blaze’s statements. “Please do so when we return Blaze. When you are done, meet me in my den. I need to speak with you.” his words foreshadowed importance. After a breath, “One should always be opened minded you never know what may come our way.” he said softly.

His yellow eyes glared ahead of him seeing the last few yards of land that belonged to his pack, the scent marks from starlight didn’t seem to invade his territory which was good. His pack seemed to keep their work up to date which was good. Hopefully, his pack didn't resent him for his constant demand that these things are taken care of. “Stay alert. We cannot be caught off guard if we happen to come across Starlight pack members,” he stated as he continued to the border.

He could see some of his Alpha’s worries relieved when he agreed to fill the empty position by when Destiny’s face lit up into a smile. Dante couldn't help but think that was more like it. When his alpha mentioned continuing to the border he responded, “I’ll follow your lead.”. Once the two started walking again Destiny thanked Dante for his willingness to accept work. He nodded as a way of saying you are welcome, then after a moment of silence he spoke to himself. “It is my Duty and all I have left…” He whispered softly minding an overgrown tree root that protruded greatly from the dirt, with a hop the hazard was avoided, He couldn't risk a simple injury that not paying attention could cause.

Lost in thought recounting the situations that led to Tide's demotion when his shoulder was nudged, pulling him back to the moment his ears flicked when he heard Destiny chuckling. Curious about what was funny he looked at her with a slight tilt in his head as he listened. “It would be Destiny especially since you have mentioned it..” He admitted after Destiny was donney with the funny her last statement stuck with him, Forrest was the previous alpha and he would have avoided Starlightpack grounds as he had for many years. Though Liberty seemed like for now he would follow in Forrest’s footsteps you can never tell what the wolf would do. “I agree, with winter here Forrest’s replacement is probably just as busy as you are Destiny,” he mentioned looking ahead again minding oncoming hazards if any, but a question burned in his head.

All the commotion made by the activity of the other wolves around him didn't stir him from his rest inside the Healers' den. He had sought care from Maison the day before after having so foolishly tripped over a stump later in the day. Afterward, he simply fell asleep where he was treated. He snored softly even as Maison, Athena, and a pup named daisy reentered. He was unaware of any other events that had occurred in this den throughout the day.

Reluctantly, Kaija had to agree. He nodded to his two packmates but then turned his focus back to the buck. What a trophy he would be. Those antlers could be chewed for months. Scavengers would look on with envy while the wolves would dismantle such a beast. A brief memory of a story about greed flashed in the depths of Kaija's mind. But swiftly pushed further down by the fantasy of a good meal.

The mortal wolf snuck into the Gods den, seeking glory through the raven wolves most prized possession. His wings. The pack would be jealous........God's know no curse, but mortals however....
