The darker ears and darker tipped tail moved a bit. She shook her head when Labrador said Kaija should be the one leading. He didn't seem to want to...but she was hesitant. Labrador clearly didn't want to take the lead either. She shook her head as Kaija seemed to forget Labrador was with them. Castor and River were the ones who'd gone off the other direction. She didn't know if she should correct him or not. Therefore, she kept quiet on that front, saying "Okay, we'll chase them to you." She then fell silent again. She followed the other two.

Deep foresty green eyes with gold ringing the pupils looked between them. The white foot black phase she wolf had been thinking. She'd meant to suggest maybe going to Starlight territory. They probably shouldn't, and who even knew if there was more prey over there. She nodded to what Blaze was saying. "Blaze is right, maybe we could find a bunch of small prey at the borders. It's not a lot...but a bunch of them could keep us fed for at least a couple days." She then shook her head.


Starlight

The white muzzled shadowy one nodded at the healer. They sighed, but they knew Scythe was right about that. No wolf could force him to eat. That might just make him mad, might make him start despising them if any-wolf did so. They then listened as she continued to speak. They nodded as they looked at her, and said "Okay...guess all we can do is wait and see."

The pretty but handsome smaller and slender golden pup nodded. Brown ears and the brown tipped tail moved a bit. Brown and blue heterochromatic eyes looked to them. "Yeah, I guess, but if he went back to his birth pack or whatever...they may not tell us. Our packs don't like each other...remember?" he asked. He figured they could still try, though. He shook his head a couple times. He wanted to ask, but didn't want to be disappointed if no wolf knew, or if they refused to speak.

Althea nodded in response to Maison’s request, and set off towards the woods. She started sniffing, looking for Daisy’s scent. After some searching, she was able to pick up a trail. She followed it for a while.. only for it to end up back at camp. She growled in frustration. She continued following it to the fighter’s den. Daisy must have run in there not knowing what den it was. She walked in to see Daisy in the den. “Hey, Daisy, is everything okay? I heard you ran out of camp. Maison is looking for you.”

Mavis
redmoon, hunter, 3yrs, shewolf, tags; alone

Mavis spent her afternoon alone in the forest, her lanky figure moved across the trees through a large path of mud and snow. Making her way towards her usual spot, somewhere she went to get some peace and have time to herself away from the pack. She was close to the other pack borders, but it didn't scare Mavis, nor did it bother her. She would mostly stay out of sight, and made sure she wasn't found or the other pack couldn't catch her scent, or any creature for that matter. Mavis always disguised herself by rolling in dirt and other animals leftovers to mask her scent before heading out to hunt, or patrol. Mavis's head turned to the left when she caught a scent, it smelled like pray, a small creature defiantly, quiet, it could be a mouse or a rabbit, she licked her jaws, hoping it was a rabbit. It was cold and snowy, so she didn't expect much, especially cause most of the prey are in their dens at this time of the year, making food scarce. Mavis slowly moved her way through the dried up sticks that use to be lushes green bushes, making her way to the scent, the closer she got the more she could hear the creature. Finally Mavis stopped in her tracks, slouching low to her belly, the snow touching her fur slightly. That's when Mavis spotted the mouse, it was a few feet away from what looked like its den. The small creature was fidgeting with its whiskers as it made small squeaking noises before going back on its front paws.
Mavi's mouth watered, it wasn't a rabbit but it was good enough, Mavis stalked towards the small creature, making sure not to step on any sticks or anything that would announce her arrival. When Mavis felt like she was close enough to try her next move, she pounced out of her hiding spot landing her jaw onto the mouse before it realized what was going on. The mouse made one panicked sound before it was no longer moving. Mavis carried the mouse in her jaw as she made her way back to the pack, before she entered the pack borders she made sure to wash herself in a small stream where there was some melted water and entered the pack after. She made her way towards the prey ground dropping the mouse in and leaving. Mavis went to the hunters den, laying down and started grooming herself, it was quiet cold, but she didn't mind it to much.

He flicked his ears to the little secret the other hunter spoke up "oh, well then this is well preserved, this does smell and look like prey that was just hunted" he responded. He looked at the otter "I guess this one had natural death and you just were the first one to find it, good for you...I don't think that wrong thing to do though, stealing it for other predators could be wrong" he said.

He took the willow grouse back to camp, he saw Elle another hunter sitting near the meadow, but she was too far for him to greet without scaring the whole forest. He took the bird to the pile and looked over to the group neat the healer's den 'what is going on in here?' he thought to himself, his eyes turning to his brother who seemed to get out of the den.

She looked at Whisper then at Wolfcry "yes, I can't force her to eat, but we could need to make him drink...I've been thinking something...it could be just a guess and mean nothing...anyway...Now when you hear too Wolfcry, do you know where Whisper's nest is?" she asked the warrior "or could you maybe go to check his nest? For ticks, lice, other organisms or maybe every mold in his nest..." she said. She then sighed 'mold huh? I hope there don't found any as that could mean that the whole den needs to be cleaned and all the nest here being changed' she thought to herself "just a little guess, to figure out about his problems, that's not just original cold" she said "could you do that Wolfcry? I try to handle the Foxleap's leg" she said.

Yomi - female - demi - crush open - pup - tags: Kairo (with Kuroi)

She looked at Kairo, sighing, her ears perked toward Kuroi when she was the first to speak out. Her eyes looked down at her for a long silent moment "we could ask Eros itself? Are you stupid, only wait to ask anything from him is to go to find him first and if he is with the Redmoon pack...how we get there with one piece?" she asked. She didn't really show it, but the idea did sound interesting, but it could be dangerous too.

She looked at Kairo, flattering her ears a little bit, the Eros being gone sure did bother the young male and the mystery did start to interest her too "well maybe they do know or they don't, but there is still one who knows for sure...Eros could know" she said. Her eyes wandered to the floor when she felt Yomi's questioning glare at her pelt.

He shook his head "no it's fine, you're not overstepping anyone, as I gave you the chance and everyone needs to start somewhere, who knows when something happens to me and the back need another lead hunter, being still young, maybe that path will be your someday" he responded. His ears perked as he looked at the side of the area where the other group left 'you know there is prey there...Kaija will like to take the lead on that side...or I think he will...anyway so what would you do now? Could we go after the same deer they choose to catch, as backup catchers, or could we go after a different deer?" he asked her "those prey animals are never alone..." he said silently.

He flicked his ears as he listened to the Kaija 'well that's something new, he mixed me for Castor...hehe, we don't even look the same...oh whatever, I could feel honored to be mixed with the lead hunter' he thought to himself. He looked at Jessie for a moment as he noticed that the she-wolf maybe noticed the same thing, but didn't say anything "sounds good to me...I would love a good chase anyway" he said silently as he walked to the trees. His eyes looked around the area he didn't see anything at the area, but he was sure to see movements and antlers behind the large trees only a few trees away from them "hey, look guys there is...buck, there could be females near it" he said keeping his voice down.

He took a long and nice nap in the den, but the bright sunlight coming to his nest forced him to wake up. He opened his tired eyes and was confused about what time of day it was now, likely afternoon as the sun was still up and the camp seemed very quiet. Shooking his dark pelt the warrior got out of the den, blinking his eyes as he tried to look around the camp. There was nothing big in the fresh-kill pile, except for a hare or two, but it didnät really bother him. He took one of the already cold prey and started to eat it.

She stalked a squirrel that was eating near the tree, squirrels were quick, and if the long-tailed little mammal goes to the tree the hunt is pretty much over as wolves can't climb in trees. She looked at Chi next to her "go there, to that bush behind the tree, if the squirrel tries to go back to that tree, stop it" she said to her silently. She stayed in her position, waiting for her sister to get to her place on another side of the tree. When she saw the ears showing near those bushes, she dashed toward the squirrel, which just as she was excepted turned toward the nearest tree. She felt proud of her sister but knew that one squirrel would not feed the pack or keep it satisfied. She looked around as she walked forward, her eyes looking to the river there, seeing a wolf not just any wolf Mavis the hunter 'hmm, just great timing' she thought to herself as she walked closer to the she-wolf "Mavis? You're there alone?" she spoke up.

She followed the orders her sister gave to her and made her position another side of the tree. She waited for her turn to act, when Freya did her first move toward the squirrel she did her first move when the squirrel was on its way toward the tree. The squirrel was preparing to climb the tree when she got a catch of its tail, pulled down to the ground and the hunt was over. She took the squirrel to her jaws and carried it proudly as she followed her sister to the river. She looked at Mavis too when they approved the hunter "Hello Mavis, See what I caught" she said showing the squirrel with pure pride in her hunt.

Liberty

The brute slowed his pace a bit while he listened to Blaze speak offering a short-term solution to a long-turn problem but the fighter's words were calculated and carried wisdom from past experience. Liberty appreciated Blaze’s last statement. Besides Rau he didn't have any other wolf that would step up to alleviate some of his worries even Castor just seemed content to just performing his basic duties which is fine. Liberty nodded considering the brute’s words while Jessie made a comment as well agreeing with Blaze’s opinion. “Hmph, I agree that is an outstanding proposition. So would either be fine when the time comes to do this? If I could rely on you both already maybe I could speak with Castor about having a hunter patrol with a team that goes out.”

Blaze’s idea already seemed very organized so elaborating on execution felt needless to the Alpha. As the small group persisted toward the northern border he silently weighed the positives and negatives of having a hunter on each patrol at the moment liberty couldn't think of any downsides other than as Jessie mentioned how long would this solution last? Groups of four would allow for a wolf to always have someone with them no wolf should wander off alone even for the benefit of the pack.

The brute was looking at Destiny as they padded along noticing when her ears slunk against her head, a slight frown formed on his face as he listened to her statement, Destiny didn't need to scold herself too harshly she didn't make a poor judgment because on the surface Tide is everything she described before but no one can anticipate his recent behavior. Dante looked ahead feeling the need to speak about her last statement but that could wait until later this conversation was important.

With his opinion voiced he looked to Destiny who nodded and then suddenly stopped walking to give Dante a very serious look as Destiny had just made an important decision either while Dante was speaking or after his last statement. He stopped walking as soon as Destiny did then faced her tilting his head curiously waiting for what the alpha had to say her expression was pressing.

As he listened he hung off of every word his Alpha said respecting her judgment once again. He was pleased that the promotion would not be permanent because he would happily return to his Lead fighter position because he knew he would uphold the standard of strong fighters. He kept eye contact and then nodded when Destiny finished speaking to confirm he heard her clearly. “I will do as you have asked. I will find a fighter who can act as a lead fighter and I will shadow them a bit while I work as your temp-beta.” his response was meant to assure that he clearly understood what the Alpha said. For once in a long time, he smiled a bit looking a bit bashful about it pleased she felt no one could do his job as lead fighter better than him. “To kind as always Destiny. You know you have my support.”

Hutten recognized that she may have said something that had poor taste the brute's demeanor seemed like Hutten had guilted him to make a choice. “I would be…happy if you could Kikui.” she said softly confirming that she would like to have him come along, “We don't have to do anything quickly if you are fine walking and talking?” she added. She couldn't explain why she wanted him to come along at the moment other than maybe she didn't want to be alone today. The handsome storytelling brute could be a welcome addition.

Are River and I supposed to herd the deer towards you, or am I supposed to wait for the deer? Which of us is herding, or chasing, and who's supposed to catch it?" They needed to completely figure that out.

They shook their head a couple times as they stood there. They watched the other healer, she wolf, go off to find the pup. All they could really do was stand there and wait...Well, they could also go follow her and see if she'd found the pup. They shook their head and decided to just wait. She'd bring Daisy to them, they figured.

She'd always loved his stories, though she was grown up now. He wondered if she still at least respected him. The way she spoke to him, though, he figured she definitely held respect for him. He nodded again, saying "Walking and talking is just fine with me." He continued to smile that wolf smile at her.

They shook their head and waited to see what Scythe said to that. She definitely seemed to want them to go, but...they weren't sure they knew which nest was actually Whisper's.

As the buck came into view, Kaija lowered himself. His chest brushed the dirt, his breath slowed. His pupils now pin dots cast in his golden orbs, intent. It was a large buck, he tantalized and dreamed of a full belly from it, but perhaps too large. Then again, this is where Kaija's confidence often got him in trouble. He made a bold suggestion, " Or we could just take the buck..."
"Perhaps you or Jessie should scout forward, if we see no doe or smaller buck, than this is our target. We're a strong pack, and with Castor and River that makes 5 of us."

"Only the crow were around..." She said this quietly, thinking on what Mikage said about stealing. There was a story told to her when she was young, about a wolf who stole from other predators. Because he'd stolen from a wolf-witch, she'd stolen his eyes as payment.
Her tail sunk down behind her and she looked towards the other wolves, "The den's boring lately."
Her mood shifted almost instantly. She felt guilty that maybe she had stolen someone's prey. Though all she saw there were scavengers. A crow wasn't adept enough to take on an otter, they were the type to come in for an easier meal. They hung around wolf kills because the wolves did the work. Work smarter, not harder.
She laid down now and rested her chin on her paws, she huffed through her nose, "What've they been doing over there, anyways?"

Destiny took a deep breath as Dante began to respond, her anxiety eased at his answer and willingness to help. She smiled seeing Dante's small smile and confidence. "I'm happy you agree." she commented before beginning to walk again towards the borders. "Perfect, that was one task completed. Now onto checking these borders" she murmured. Her tail flicked every few steps. Her nerves leaving a bit as Dante was able to accept the temp-position. Now just to figure out who would be able to fill the roll. "I do appreciate you Dante, always being so willing" she added before flicking an ear.

As they padded towards the border Destiny chuckled to herself and gave Dante a soft nudge on the shoulder "Wouldn't it be funny if this was the day we ran into the RedMoon wolves? Patrols have been clear, but watch because it's us" she laughed before shaking her head "But that's the least likely thing to happen. They know to stay away - far away"

River nodded, Castor's reassurance appreciated. She made a mental note to thank the lead hunter after they returned to camp - hopefully successful. The tan wolf flicked her tail in anticipation of the hunt, more energy filling her veins as they walked. Her mind raced with the options in front of her for the hunt. She opened her mouth to ask a question, unsure of where to proceed but Castor was already helping her out with some options.

Breathing a sigh of relief River offered a small smile to Castor. She took a second to pause and weigh the options "I think we should strive to be backup , you never know if they will run into an unruly buck. However, IF able, I think we could also target another deer" She commented before looking towards Castor to see his thoughts "Unless that seems like a stupid idea" she mumbled

Blaze nodded at Liberty's comments "If needed I can get with Castor once we return to see his thoughts, save you some time and possibly work on sending out the first hunter plus fighter patrol tomorrow" He replied as his tail flicked. Blaze shook out his fur, he was able to talk without hesitation to Liberty, and it was odd for him to be this open around Gauge. He wasn't complaining about it , but it was also new for him. He side eyed Liberty "I mean the only other option would be trying to work with the Starlight wolves, but that could be worst case scenario"

Blaze raised his head once again to scent their surroundings , ears tipped forward, listening for anything around them. They were nearing the border at this point, something that always had Blaze on edge. While he was always prepared for a border run in - they were always something that could go either way. Their markings were strong, Blaze could scent them without even trying. That was something he was proud of.
