Just a little fun for when you have time to kill
by cainhurst » Wed Oct 26, 2022 9:28 pm
committing horrible crimes against people. hurting, killing, you get the gist. anything else i feel is not really my place to judge and call a "wasted life". some people wanna have a career, others a family, and some are content just going through life to experience it without any major goals or ambitions aside from "i wanna have fun and see as much of the world as possible". hell, if you're perfectly content spending your entire life in the same place doing the same things and seeing the same people without ever making any major changes, who am i to tell anyone they're "wasting" their life by doing exactly what they wanna do just because my desires in life are different?
what's your favourite outdoors activity?

nostalgia to me is usually something that reminds me of happier times, maybe a memory with friends or family or something that used to bring me joy
how would you bond with people?

I was start with what someones major is, makes it super easy to find classes you've both taken and what people are passionate about, great way to start building connections.
What is a take you often see online (like on tiktok) that just boils your blood?

I have multiple hyper fixations atm, but mainly naruto rn. I binged the original, Shippuden, and started boruto all in the span of a few months. It's definitely one of my favorites now, and I keep impulsively buying too much merch, because how can I resist when there is sm cute stuff
what is your all time favorite book or movie? why is it your favorite, what is it about?

one of my favourite book's is the picture of dorian gray by oscar wilde. i enjoy the themes it covers and, even though it's fiction, it can definitely be seen as a (character) study of what things such as excessive hedonism, superficiality, egotism, etc. can do to a person. how it can essentially destroy them and lead them to their downfall. i feel like it shows clearly that you shouldn't necessarily renounce all worldly pleasures and desires, as that will rarely make you happy either, but if you let them consume you fully you'll just end up hurting yourself and everyone around you in the process. idk man i'm not good at Being Deep and Philosophical TM today, so if none of that made sense to anyone who has read the book, i will gladly fall back on my backup excuse of "i like wilde's writing style what more do you need me to say"
are there any video games from your childhood (or just ones you've been playing for a long time now) that you still love dearly to this day?

- yes. ollo in the sunny valley fair, putt putt saves the zoo, and minnesota cuke and the coconut apes are ones i played on the computer. spongebob squarepants: battle for bikini bottom is the console game i loved the most.
also, there are a bunch of ones for the leapster and nintendo dsi, but i don't feel like listing those out.
describe yourself like a character in a novel.
edit: i changed my mind. i like cs user cainhurst's question (well, mine wasn't a question) better, so same as above.

To avoid giving the same answer to this question over and over again, I'm gonna put another game I grew up with instead of the usual. Aside from Doom, I played a ton of Okami. I still adore that game, many years later. It's amazing, albeit too easy. Once you figure out how to fight each specific enemy type, you basically won the game. But it's so fun that the lack of difficulty doesn't even matter much. Fighting enemies was fun, drawing on the world was fun, collecting all the stray beads was fun, watching the plot keep going for a surprisingly very long time was fun. I spent so many hours of my life on that game and honestly, I don't regret it. There's so much love that was poured into it.

Depends on what they are and what they look like. If they look like a character I like, I'll name 'em after that. I'd name an orange kitten Oliver, after the kitten from Oliver and Company, or a hermit crab Huckit, after the Mario enemy of the same name. If they don't, then I'd name 'em after one of my own OCs, or name them based on their colours (my current betta fish is named Mario for this reason). Either way, my future pet's name will be a reference to something.
