"Do you think your friend could have gotten lost in the maze like I did?" Wildwood wondered aloud, staring up at the tall, yellow-tipped stalks that stood before them.
"It'd take forever to search every single path for them... but hopefully if they're in there then maybe we'd be able to find them." Drizzle responded.
"What if we made our own path?" The pumpkin-headed werm suggested.
"What do you mean 'our own path'?" Drizzle questioned in response. "You mean we dig right through the corn? How would we even do that?"
Drizzle noticed Wildwood's tongue pass over its lips, previously unaware that it even had a tongue in the first place. "Oh... I see where you're going." she responded, answering her own question. There was a mischievous glint in the holes where Wildwood's eyes supposedly were, and suddenly Drizzle wasn't quite sure if it wanted to do this out of hunger, trickery, or perhaps vengeance.

it seems taro has rather enjoyed the scrappy cloak the group found on their previous journey - and mosaic agrees. fabric is great for hiding and playing under, after all! needless to say, occultation is not pleased. after much complaining and nagging from him, the other two wermz pack up and trudge along, occultation leading them to a new adventure.
