I don't know how this thread would survive without your fantastic writing skills and beautiful descriptions. I loved this one a lot.

Night was such a time of peace and harmony here.

Predators were non existant, only we flying wolves lived here.

Night tended to be a time of joy, with the different species of us looming quietly in the still air. Some were luminescent and danced with the stars. Others had patterns of nature engraved on their coats, who, as suggested, remained with the earth. Those with the 'random' markings that had no set meaning acted as randomly as their patterns. Then my kind.

We were unique, marked like the cities from which our parents came. We spent our time like city livers; adventuring.

And I did as my coat told me, venturing away from the main cluster to flit on the outskirts. It was darker here, not lit by my kind.

It was odd though. The stars seem to cluster in some spots, and then move! How was this so? It was beautiful, and I watched intently.

Danger only became evident when two, yellow, glowing orbs became visible in front of my face. They were deep, shining, liquid and smooth. The drew the poison of fear from my body, leaving me standing in a daze.

The daze was cracked when talons scarred my flesh. From there on, I fell to darkness.

I did survive, though, but with a heavy cost. My wings were torn off, gone. Scars covered my body, my beautiful fur torn and ragged. They didn't accept me back, even my own brothers and sisters pushed me away.

I left for the outskirts once more, and wept on a rock, teaching it my sorrows. The owl silently cut through the air once more, landing in front of me. He folded his star wings delicately beside his body, eyes looking deeper into mine.

" Hello, Spadiz. How did I know to find you here? You have been exiled, hm? "

" Yes, Umree. "

" Perfect, now that we both have nothing to live for, join me. "

I went from dancing with my fellow wolves in the meadow to dancing with Umree in heaven, watching the others as they wasted their time.

Lena leaned over to hug Bee. The two girls embraced and held each other tightly.

"You too, Lena."

They continued to hug out their long fight until finally Bee sighed a little and Lena shifted her hands from Bee's back to around her perfect face. Looking deep into her dark blue eyes, Lena shivered at the closeness.

"I'm sorry about everything, Bee. So ... so sorry." Lena whispered, tears making her soft brown eyes sparkle.

Bee put a finger to her best friend's lips. "I know, babygirl, I know. Don't worry about it."

Bee leaned in even closer until their foreheads were touching. Lena could almost feel the warmth radiating off of Bee's pretty face. Slowly, Bee leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.

Two glassy figurines were perched upon the shelf.

Two glossy figurines were biased, pondering about attraction.

Two slick and young figurines shifted, rotating their worry about love one-hundred and eighty degrees.

Two beautiful figurines glanced around their world, the hatred for their desire towards one another sucking up all acceptance.

Two dejected and detested figurines waddled to the brink of the shelf, hand and hand, and jumped. Down down down they fell, wondering why the others had been too 'smart' and left the two lovers feeling stupid for wanting one another. But still their hearts craved for each other.

And cl-shing! the two broken and stupid-feeling figurines sang as their bodies broke into a million tiny pieces.

But they weren't stupid. They were two intelligent figurines who lived in a cabinet full of stiff and idiotic souls who weren't up to being flexible with love. They lived in a cabinet full of hatred where their love shone bright enough to illuminate that shelf; too bright, too bright! The others would scream.

So they /did/ jump, their love unharmed any longer by the other citizens of the shelf. They would be together enternally, their remaining bits and pieces hiding underneath the large cabinet.

And those others wouldn't have even fathomed...

Never a word, never a sound. There had been no news, not here, not in this tiny little shell of a city. Once it stood proud-now, it's single inhabitant was a faulty piece of robotic experimentation.

Little child little child there's a letter in your drawer in the drawer...

The old telegraph line buzzed and popped faintly, finally starting into the final stages of decay.
The robot turned his its head, watching the faint sparks that drifted over the desk. Standing, its shuffling feet moved it closer, over to the rusty old receiver.

The robot looked down; a letter on the desk...
Buried beneath a pile of dusty papers was an old telegram envelope. Clumsy fingers pulled it from the pile, faulty wiring sparking as it read the instructions on the slip of paper.
Knobs turned on the machine, and the code was punched in. A whisper of static, then a faint string of words, repeating over and over as the robot reached for the volume.

I love you I love you I love you I love you I lov...

The old wires sparked, and the transmiter coughed as it finally gave in to the passing of time.
And still the robot sat, as silent as the lifeless telegraph.

I'm just a tin man, sitting here with a broken heart.

Chrys Aaron~~Zero

"Aww, come on Zero!" Chrys yelled gleefully.

Zero was never athletic, he was born with a broken front paw.
Chrys's life goal was to teach him how to cope with it.
"You're so close, just move your paw like this next time.."
She gently nudged his paw in to a position that hurt, but he didn't tell her.
she kept scootching closer until her fur ruffled his.
"huh, oh, I'm sorry, are you okay?" She asked, unaware of his loving gaze.
She was oblivious to all his signs on attraction, and he couldn't help but feeling hurt because of it.
Was it because she didn't thiunk of him the was he thought of her?
Was it because he couldn't run?
But that wasn't his fault, now was it?

As she fianlly noticed the look of affection in his expression, she quickly stepped back.
"Hey.. umm. Do you want me to get you something to eat?"

"No thank you, I ate before I came out"

"Awwww, who made you food?"

"My father"
That was a rare occurence. His father had rarely ever wanted to see his son after his mother was killed in a bombing.
The war was not over though, every day they'd hear bombing around the yard, and oen even occured across the dirt-path.
"Oh, how was it?"

"Not very good, knowing him I''m thankful I haven't vomited yet."

She giggled, she loves it when he uses humor.
Which he rarely did.

A low humming sound was coming from the north over behind thier families' dens.
It was coming closer.
"Chrys, we need to get inside now."
"I want to explore."
"Seriously, we need to get in. Now Chrys!"

He had never yelled at her before, and she completely broke down and ran towards the sound.
"No, Chrys! Come back, I'm sorry!"

And then the white light and smoke appeared.
She couldn't go after her, the smoke might choke him.
Tears rolling down his face, he ran back to his den. THe feeling of uselessness when A friend is in need is the worst feeling in the world.


The next day, he found a her scarf with embers.
