The woman behind the booth busts out in laughter and male laughter comes from under the booth, your face flushing bright red and your eyes lowering with shame. “Sorry, kiddo.” The woman wished you after her giggles die down. “Better luck tomorrow!” Abashed, you meekly thank her for her time anyway and leave the manor, tail tucked.

She takes her eyes off of you and you seize the opportunity, spreading your fingers wider to take at least two, when she suddenly looks back at you and shoos your greedy hand away from the bowl. “Only one!” She grumpily reminds you, “You get nothing for tonight since you weren’t playing fair, go.” She told you firmly, pointing her finger back into the path from which you came. Embarrassed, you have no choice but to leave.
