Lights On Lights Off Fanclub

For starters, I love this game so very much and try to give as many rares as I possibly can!
Everyone deserves a treat at this time of year lol

But, I have noticed some players have their lights off constantly, I mean from day 1 or 2. (I do recheck daily)

They manage to visit but have yet to turn their light on.

I understand that they may not have much to share and still wish to participate in the game, although I do not really think they are really interested in helping the community spirit.

Does anyone else find this?

i see this too many times but then theres also the problem when ive asked someone for trick or treat then they turn their lights off or just dont answer at all for the next load of days, its odd to me.
thats why i stopped doing that for a little while as not many answer.
those who do answer though even after being busy for a bit are understandable and very kind! i love their compassion for the game and users.

I doubt that users are being malicious when they turn their lights off for long periods of time. It's more likely they just don't have much to give or are embarrassed over giving low-tier pets or something. Or maybe they don't fully understand the community spirit.

By the way, I've been enjoying the references some people use in their dress-ups quite a lot. So far I've seen Skyrim, Naruto, Witcher, ... It just makes me go like 'hey, I've played/seen that!'

Soo I don't wanna reply to anyone specific because I feel as tho I can't necessarily join in on the comments. I'm not trick or treating this year, but I've had my lights on since I joined Lolo like 6-7 or more days in. I'm not getting many trick or treaters, but when I'm able I've been giving good gifts when I can, giving smaller gifts when needed, and in general trying to leave my lights on because I like enjoying the atmosphere. However, because of my lights staying on, it does take a bit to get back to the knocks on my door! I feel bad because I know a lot of users are likely leaving their lights off for personal reasons, or just in general only doing lights on minimalistically. And that's honestly fine. I think it's a great thing for everyone to be having fun, and while it's sad some users are gonna take advantage of it, the best you can do is try your best to ignore them, and focus on the fun. I've loved customizing my response to tailor to the story, or giving a small dreamie when it's possible. Heck, I gave someone a bunch of common bwolfs just because they said they liked them. And another user got gifted a simple rare pet but to them it was a dreamie. And we talked and ended up in a gift war, and I made a new friend. It's not really about focusing on the bad and weeding it out. It's honestly been really fun to just play to make people happy. It's been nice talking to people, and I love seeing the discussions here about all the fun stories. (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

I haven't quite started trick-or-treating yet, but it's been so fun giving out treats so far and reading all of the stories!! I've mostly been reading them at night as I wind down and it's so relaxing, I absolutely love seeing everyone's trick-or-treaters. It's enjoyable to see the different personalities for each character and the expressive writing. I especially love dress-ups too, it's exciting to see what others come up with ^^

just another quick reminder now that we are almost halfway thru lolo!: mobile users are MUCH LESS LIKELY to visit ur house if ur lights on/off text/symbol/graphic is NOT in the top left of the signature/youre using a stamp or scene as your signature! :'0
i use mobile chickensmoothie exclusively and dont like having to switch to full desktop mode on mobile because everything gets tiny!! so pretty please put your graphic somewhere accessible <3 /p love ur very friendly and fun onion!

I don't trick or treat but I have my lights off currently because I'm heavily pregnant and got overwhelmed with the amount of trick or treaters last time I had my lights on. ^^" Nothing against any trick or treaters, I'm just heavily pregnant and have better things to be overwhelmed over haha. I'll turn my lights on again soon!

Wanted to share an idea that I started doing a couple of years ago. I create a Halloween dress up scene, and then invite anyone who has trick-or-treated from me to add their pet to the scene. Here it is so far! (I promise I've sent a lot more treats than this, but most people don't ask to join, which is fine. ) If you've trick-or-treated from me and would like to be added, let me know in a PM, or post a comment on the scene. (I do post a link when I send the treat, but I don't know if everyone reads the messages.) If you haven't trick-or-treated from me yet and would like to join, my lights will probably be off for the weekend, but check back after Monday!

I'm very busy due to working 6 days a week at my work, that's why I haven't had my lights on ^^' I haven't been trick or treating yet in the game either.

I did turn my lights on in the beginning, but I feel bad for not answering the stack of DM's I have. Been super busy and free time is hard to come by, and life has been over all overwhelming. ;w;

I'm hoping to try and reply soon, if my free time, work and life allows me! Adulting stinks D: I thought I had enough time when I registered, but life laughs when you plan. Work IS going to be slowing down very soon, let's hope for a shorter work week! I wanna play LOLO ❤️

just a heads up to anybody who is active on this thread, if i have read your message but have not sent you a trick or treat trade its because ive changed my visits to only one per person and some people havent seen that yet ^^
