----------------------->>>It was a frosty autumn night when Hekalu started his scavenge. The last couple days were rather boring, he had to stay in his shelter for a while due to his eye injury. But tonight he was back to normal and ready to go scavenging again. He wouldn´t stop until he finds something worthy of an adventurer. A few miles away, he slowed down, as his legs almost gave in. He wasn´t used to such long sprints, but the excitement took over. When he finally reached another formation of ruins, he suddenly stopped. Are those... glowing footprints? Curiously, Hekalu sniffed the ground. The footprints lead him to a bigger puddle of glowy, slightly steaming liquid. It looks like liquid fire, but holding his paw near it, it is cold? How is that even possible, and where did it come from? Unfortunately Hekalu was just as morbidly curious, as he was shy. So he focused on figuring out the origin of that puddle, instead of remembering rule #1 he was taught. Never let your guard down in the wastelands. A deep growl startles Hekalu, he turns around and finds himself eye to eye with a big, steaming, liquid fire drooling monster. Hekalu couldn´t move, he was so startled and just stumbled a few steps backwards before tripping over some trash. The monster was now right above him, still growling. Hekalu almost fainted from fear, when the creature suddenly sniffs in disgust. "Whooo areee youuuuu..." The creature slowly mumbles in a deep, growling voice. It was a weird mix of growling and clicking (like a broken Cyborg) but it didn´t seem hostile. Just now, Hekalu realized that the monster was... bleeding? Hekalu watched in horror, as the thick liquid, which seems to me the creatures blood, kept dripping to the ground. Even tho the creature was way bigger than him, it seems like it is one of his species, he just had to help him. Although it must be one of the odd ones, roaming the wastelands on their own, because they are so different from normal wermz. "I... I am Hekalu. I am scavenging the Wastelands because I want to be an adventurer!" He points his paw towards the wound of the bigger werm. "You seem to be hurt... Can I help you? I have some bandages in my shelter..." The other werm growls again, then takes a step back to release Hekalu from his grip. "Excuse me, my eyesight is not the best at night. I thought you were one of those pesky monsters roaming those ruins, I had no idea you were a fellow werm. The creatures of the night attacked and wounded me. If you don´t mind, I would very much appreciate some help." The werm didn´t seem half as scary now, rather polite and gentle. "My name is Drake, by the way. I apologize for scaring you."
