summitclan had seen it all. famine, death, civil
war, betrayal, revolution. they knew if they had
one thing on their side, it was tradition. that was
the backbone of their clan, the pride of their
ancestors. after all, starclan was proud of them
for upholding their tradition, right? perhaps they
were wrong. the clan was founded by an exile
from a clan many miles away. summitstep was
his name, and no one but starclan knew the
truth of his exile. once he found his own area,
he took a mate and begun a family. soon,
others in the area began to follow him and his
teachings. generations after generations came,
and eventually, there was a full-fledged clan.
one thing, however, always stayed the same-
the clan was always lead by a descendant of
summitstar himself. the family had been in
power for so long, no one knew what it was like
without them. but when the last of his line died
out, starclan sent a prophecy to the confused
clan, instructing them on exactly how they were
to continue and who was to rule now.

and the other half were accepting of the new
leader and were welcoming the change.

the traditionalists were offended and afraid of
tbe idea of change, and began to conspire in the
background, while those in favor of a complete
