I believe the top overpaid by a small bit, being that the baby duck was unneeded. But Lions have demand, so that overpay covers the demand for the lions imo.

2022 common x 2 = 2022 uncommon or a 2021 common

2022 uncommon is a 2021 common

2021comm + 2021comm = 2021uncomm

My reasoning example if you have two uncommons from the same year they usually equal a rare if the 2:1 is followed, so I assume it would be the same for the other rarities.

What I am understanding, using 2022 year as an example, if I trade 2 commons for 1 uncommon it would be as fair as if I traded 2 uncommons for 1 rare?

Separate question, using the years 2022 and 2013 as an example. Would the same apply if I traded 2 2013 commons for 1 2022 uncommon or would the value bump the 2022 up to a rare because of the year??

1. Yes, using the 2022 year as an example, if you traded 2 commons they would equal 1 uncommon. If you traded 2 uncommons they would equal 1 rare. (Very Rares and OMGSR are a bit different. And Storepets do not apply for the 2:1)

2. Using the years 2022 and 2013 as an example. The 2:1 rule does not apply as the 2:1 rule applies to the year of release.
You would need multiple 2022 uncommons or 2022 rares to equal two 2013 commons.

Two 2013 commons would equal one 2013 uncommon
Two 2022 commons would equal one 2022 uncommon


(The 2:1 is a commonly used rule, but you may run into a person who does not see a pet released during January-April = September-December of that year. And depending on the pet, people may see it as worth a bit less even if they are from the same year and rarity. But the 2:1 is the most commonly used)

Not sure about the first one, but id say the second one is fair.
2019 store pets usually go for a late 2010 rare, but keep in mind their value rises overtime, and its VR.
Store pets also have more demand then equines, so personally i wouldnt accept but its down to which side you prefer!

So, how far back, year wise, would the value of a pet hike up?

Also, depending on that answer, would using a process similar to the 2:1 work. Example would be: 2:1 = same year, 3:1 = 1 year difference, 4:1 = 2 year difference and so on and so forth
