Softpetal noticed the kits distress. " Hey, its ok. No one is angry at you. Once I have this done you'll be allowed to talk to some of the cats we promise to make you feel welcome." She smiled warmly at the kit, patching her up with spiderweb and grabbing herbs for the kit. "here, eat this, it doesn't taste great but you'll feel better."

He lay at his secret little hidden pace near the camp, but the place was enough to see somehow to the cleaning and he did notice the warrior Droopingrose bringing there a lost kitten. He took a deep sigh as he shooked his head lightly before landing on his front paws 'what is wrong with those loners when they keep abandoning their kittens...' he thought to himself as he closed his eyes to have some quick naps.

She waited for something to happen, but so far nothing happened. She started to feel bored when she at least saw the deputy at the center area of the camp 'how I didn't see her earlier?' she thought to herself, wondering if she was maybe a little too sleepy still. She looked at her for a moment, before making her walk toward her "morning Stromsky are you maybe thinking of the morning patrols? I am volunteering to join either of them?" she meowed to her, giving a small greeting to Greywhisker as well.

She looked at Sunstar and Hollytangle there, her ears flicking over to them to Fallenrains "hmm? deliver? sure, sure I can do that" she responded to him. She was rather confused as to what the warrior meant about the delivery as he was the one bringing the prey to those who needed it "you're too hasty, I got not to deliver any prey to nobody, but I can carry the prey we hunt out there..." she meowed. She lightly rolled her eyes as he started to speak with Hollytangle "I was ready, but I am not sure if you are ready?" she meowed rather questioning and a little bit confused as well.

*Droopingrose looked up at the pretty medicine cat and gave her a soft smile* "Thank you," *She blocked the way of the kit's view and began to speak in a quieter tone* "The kits mother drowned herself, every reaction I got from the kit was bad. When I try soothing her in any way she rambles about how horribly treated she was. I don't think any of the queens will take her in, so do you think I should..?"

The medicine cat looked uneasy. "I- I don't know. I mean Lilysplash will probably kit soon but Im sure she's expecting quite a few kits and I don't know if she wants more.." she looked back down at the little kit. It would be awhile before she even left the medicine den anyway. They could make the decisions later, when the kit was better. "I think we should wait a bit to see how she does."

*She flicked her tail lightly over the medicine cat's shoulder and smiles* "Thank you, and your right. Just give the kit some time. I.. see you are always pretty busy, but do you mind joining me out in the meadows? The fireflies are always bright this time season."

He chuckles at IcePaw, "we can go." Is said, "and I'll help you carry what we catch, I'll do my part." Leaving the chipmunk at HollyTangles' paws he bumps his head into the other he-cats' shoulder and then pads out of the camp. He fully expects IcePaw to follow him, to join him - though he isn't her mentor. (He's never been a mentor yet. He wants to be...)

"So, IcePaw," is stated. "What do you want to practice catching today?" Of course he's not planning to take her to the dark trees... it's not safe (in his opinion) for the untrained.

She takes a few gulping breaths, trying to relax... and when the medicine cat is done she does feel a little better. "When the bad hum- i..I... I mean two-legs caught me and mama they took me to another mean two-leg and hurt my paws. Mama and I got away from the bad ones who were mean, and Mama had a really bad cough. I wasn't allowed to be by her. And," the tiny kit takes another deep breath, trembling slightly. "We were running from the bad two-legs and a monster bit and threw mama! She was carrying me and we got in the water --" Her eyes are sad, "we were in the water a whole day, and we got out and it was night. And we started to walk, mama said we should not go to sleep because we were wet," her whiskers - now clean - twitch, "I was cold... but mama said she was too hot. So she got in the water again to cool off." Her throat hurts, feels tight, her eyes sting. "But the water pushed mama. So I stayed. Mama said to stay." A solitary tear burns from her eye and into the dirt.

Then the first cat she met gives her a huge black bird. "Thank you. " states the kit, only familiar with rats and mice. When her paws are done she looks to SoftPetal, "thank you for helping my feets."

Those tiny paws are pressed against the glossy black feathers of the bird and she begins to try to pull them off like she'd seen Mama do to much smaller brown or orange birds. (Finches and Sparrows.) It doesn't work so well, but she does manage to get a couple.

*Droopingrose snickers at the small she-kit* "Here, let me teach you." *She lays the crow onto the ground and unsheathes her claws. She began to tug a clump of feathers out with her paws* "Try that, Moss."

She sits back, watching.... and then hangs her head. How can she do that? She can't even climb! "I... I cant." Is said, body tense - her mother had punished her (as if it was her fault) when she'd been told to climb. This cat would punish her too for not being able to do this.

Her calico pelt fluffs in anxiety, "i..I... they took my claws away." She's a miserable ball, "I... i..I... I don't have claws."

"Two-legs" *Droopingrose says, her voice sounder acrimonious, her eyes grew pitiful* "No worries," *She mumbled* How will she survive..? "..I'll just do it for you," *Quickly she tore the bird apart, the feathers were set in a neat pile as she pushed the grow towards the kit* "Here,"

Roseberry sat in camp, admiring the sky and eating her morning meal. Her tail flicked and ears twitched, shaking off a bug. She tore a chunk out of her chosen prey, a dove, and chewed it, the flavor was so good to her.
