In the city ruins Crowce was in, once again. the serene yet unsettling environment blended in with her pelt. today was particularly cloudy, like rain was about to fall from the dove-gray clouds, giving the atmosphere a grayscale wash and putting humidity in the air. which felt different to having those infamous browns and yellows the buildings and streets had, and an unusual stench often mixed into the surrounding area which she didn't like. it made her feel claustrophobic.
she wasn't alone this time though. a new, rookie fellow decided to acquaint her during her scavenging. They were a curious yet jumpy werm, as if they didn't want even a speck of dirt to land on neither their shiny glass body nor scarf. Kanei wandered off easily, it's no wonder why they decided to join Crowce or they wouldn't be able to find their way back.

"What, are you just going to stay smelling the little pretty roses there?" Crowce interjected, breaking the silence. Kanei looked up at the dark gray werm then back at what they were perceiving -- a pile of garbage and a tiny plant rested on top of it all; though it was obvious it was slowly dying.
Kanei made up his face sorrowfully, both at the plant and Crowce's remark, and sprinted over back to her. Kanei preferred not to speak too much, instead using his eyes and even the fish in his body to express themself. Crowce noticed the change in their face, and felt a bit bad as well, — Kanei's feelings can get easily crushed — but she shook it off, motioned her head into the direction farther into the ruins, and began walking along Kanei as well.
