You clutch a large handful of pebbles to your chest, careful not to drop any as you head towards the village center, where you've seen people come to do the exact thing you plan to do today. You crouch down to arrange the small pile in an organized fashion in a pocket of sunshine, adjusting it so it shines just right, sending a sparkling array of colors this way and that. You're so focused on making the pebbles look perfect, you don't notice a casted shadow now set over you. The square is quiet, a sort of charged tension in the air. You stop suddenly, noticing how quiet it has gotten all of a sudden, and slowly look next to you. A cheedrake is watching you very intently, almost seeming impatient to leap on to the pile of pebbles and claim them for themselves! You smile and stand up, excitedly getting them towards the pebbles. They give you an excited chirp, rub against your leg, and play with the pebbles, seeming very happy to be with their new favorite person with a new pile of shiny, beautiful pebbles too! Congratulations!
