What if Chicken Smoothie gave every starting player a rarer pet from the pound and a few C$ to start them off? I also really like the birthday reward idea.

I like this idea.
Or they get to open a box, similar to Dec 18th, and they can obtain 1-2 old rare or VR pets. Perhaps these pets are taken from users that are banned or from pound pets.
Although I do see a potential problem with this. Sometimes there are members of this community that try to get away with scamming newer players out of their rare or VR pets. But I suppose that’s why the fair trade thread exists.

i hope they do make some change cause everyone here just keeps talking about the same issues which makes me sad and we have so many good ideas like i genuinely love the ideas we got here, i really hope staff changes stuff cause i know they are watching

It does suck that this would be taken advantage by players that know worths, newer players would have their rare pets scammed easily

New and old players get taken advantage of all the time, sadly and there isn't much to stop that.

I think the idea of the box would likely go over more smoothly. Removing pets from the pound then creates an issue of nothing of value within the pound which then instead kills off a different mechanic of the game and that gets complicated in its own right.

with the dailies/c$ idea - maybe cs lotteries would work! not entering with rlc of course, but maybe with a certain amount of c$ to get rare pets or special items? it'd be a good c$ sink since c$ (at least ive heard) has been inflated heavily

Yes! I agree that a currency sink would be very beneficial. While there is one in terms of the shop, it's not nearly enough to combat the inflation and having a lottery or minigames that utilize C$ could really help settle down the economy.

In terms of daily rewards, I think that having C$ be a 30-day in-a-row log-in reward would be nice, and this would also be a good place for pets/items. I think that people would be more likely to return if there was the possibility of getting a pet when logging in versus just once a month. Also, and I've gone back-and-forth on this myself, a free currency (with its own shop) could also be a good reward. Temporarily, it can help with inflation as players sell C$ for this currency, and having things that can only be purchased with this currency can help keep the two more stable as players trade one for another (long-term I've seen it to very much the opposite, so it would have to be monitored, which is why I'm hesitant on it).

Also I believe cs could make a change, but I really think they won’t be adding anything free like bday bonuses or daily login gifts for people sadly :c though it would help a ton

Perhaps it would help if newer players wouldn't be able to trade their rare pets for a period of time to allow them to learn about worth.

I also play a game called Howrse. On there when you start, there is a guided tutorial. A 'person' guides you though some of the things you can do. I think this would be a great idea to help new players.

You have a point. But I won’t lie, these days I have not personally witnessed a lot of value in the pound. Maybe a 2010 or 2011 rare here or there, but nothing significant. And even if there is something of significance, you have to fight for it.
