[urgent] this site really is actually dying

I do think people are getting a little dramatic, here.
Sure, the trading economy sucks, but with how many people have replied so quickly to this thread alone, how can we really say that this site is dying?
There are plenty of active users over the whole site. Maybe not as many as there used to be, but there's still a lot.

I think how quick people are replying says more about how frustrated with the site they are though

I've never been able to successfully trade people, other than monthly swaps. I've tried, and either get ghosted or canceled. Or no interest from the other end. I've tried auctioning off a couple rares before just to see how it goes...no luck, literally not a single trade trying. I'm done trying. I would love to complete my collection. But I really hesitate in trying to do anything other than monthly swaps and see how it goes I guess.

I understand how discouraging it can be from my own experiences as well. I’d say try not to be discouraged, but this is coming from someone who still shares the same frustrations. I’m here to help if you need.

i also have never been able to successfully get trade from others especially without getting rude people or my trades rotting, ive given up on bumping my trade/c$store and i never send trades bc most people demand so much for things

sometimes discussing about improvements is healthy as even some ideas can come to fruition and make it THAT much better for all involved

i joined around 2018, quit, and then began playing again a couple months back for the early 2010s nostalgia factor of the site. i personally love that the game hasn't been 'modernized' in any way since a lot of other things have been and the internet doesn't really feel the same anymore, flash player no longer being supported being the final straw. however i do feel like there aren't a lot of things to do, i absolutely love forum games but them being the only thing keeping me on here every day gets a bit repetitive. i haven't gotten any successful trades in a while, a lot of people respond very rudely to my offers (which are perfectly fair) despite me literally asking not to do so in my trade rules. i understand that not everyone will read them before declining a trade but i feel like it should be common sense to be decent, it's genuinely messed with my bpd really bad

i'm tired rn so i don't have many ideas but i feel like the best way to go would be minigames? just small games (similar to flash games but working) related to the site, possibly giving rewards for high scores and such. like random items, pets, c$? something that wouldn't completely destroy the old-ish feel of the game but rather add to it. hope that makes sense lmao

I wonder if a system like the bubbling brew on flight rising or quests on dappervolk Would be good, where you can obtain items and ingredients from things (like minigames) on the site and then use them along with exp to make pets or rarer items? it feels like then its something a player can come on site and work towards, and still have to put effort into, but not as inaccessible as obtaining rarer pets and items as current player trading is?

monthly swaps are easy somewhat [right now im not finding success at all in getting a swap done for the pps pup, its just ignored]
Then for any other trade, usually its the luck of the wishlisted pets thats how i find i get stuff even then though i dont have a lot of available WL pets for anyone since most were from my own wishlist and in NFT folders.

I have noticed some changes in activity over the last few months. This is just my experience.

I opened my adoption center a while back, either earlier this year or late last year and at first it was popular but over time its gotten slower and slower with replies. its almost like most people don't view that forum. this has also happened with trades, lots of people wanting or asking for trades but get very few or none for days. I know alot of it are due to bullying and such or some people having books as rules. Its quite disheartening to be completely honest. I mainly noticed the change after they got rid of the rares list as activity dropped since many people with high value pets dont know their worth now. When I first joined, the site was nonstop active and it was fun and enjoyable but now its honestly not anymore. My wife is on here as well and she runs a giveaway thread but its turned into frustration for her and she doesn't like logging in now

(i am not quitting I am just a little sad with the encounters i have had the past year) I am one of the people to think about quitting due to being too scared to trade people on here people are so rude and entitled to what they know about rares and the game and how dumb and "unfair" the trade is when I send a message along the lines of "hi I am looking to trade if you're not happy with this feel free to edit ^^ " and I get people not leave a message and just canceling when its say some like "don't be afraid to send a trade if you want anying <3 I am so nice. something about always leaving a nice message" to low key calling me dumb because I don't really understand list and item worth. and also, people scamming me of lists and all that
so idk I love this game but people man... why are they so much meaner now (sorry about the bad grammar and spelling ;-; i am dyslexic)
