I dropped out of college a few years ago, and have been traveling ever and working seasonal jobs ever since. This summer I'm working as a park ranger, which I had built up for so many years to be my dream job. Now that I have it, I'm not so sure. I don't love this job as much as I thought I would, and all summer it's felt like my whole world has flipped upside down because I didn't take into consideration the possibility that I wouldn't like it.
I spent a few years in the ski industry just kind of as a placeholder, and now I'm starting to think I took it for granted a little. Skiing is my number one passion, and maybe pursuing a long term career with it isn't such a bad idea. I'm planning on returning to that industry soon.
I'm glad this thread popped up on the latest posts. The last time I felt this lost career-wise was when I made the decision to leave college. It feels nice to just write it down, you know? It's been a challenging summer, but maybe I'm grateful for the opportunity to refocus my priorities.

i work at a local goodwill! it's a really interesting job, honestly. getting to sort through random donations and put them away is part of mine & my coworkers' fun !! despite having to deal with older people (that don't remember their phone number/don't know how to use a debit card) it's a pretty relaxed job :)

Work remotely for a national call center of a large glass company — I just do appointment scheduling mostly for consumers or commercial orders through an email box with about 40 other people. We are global as far as our parent company just slightly different names and jungles depending on which country you’re in.
