Never before have I been so relieved to see a sunrise. Sure, they were always beautiful, but this one was especially so. We survived! I wonder what caused that light which apparently got rid of the creature that was attacking us. I have a feeling we probably will not find out, but I suppose we do not actually need to know. Just the fact we survived is enough, right? Staring at the sunrise, I am filled with hope, hope that we will reach our destination safely. And also gratefulness that we are able to see this. After all, things were not looking good for our continued survival for a bit there. Everything could have easily gone much worse... So the moment to catch my breath and recover from the stressful ordeal is very appreciated. The day seems so bright and cheerful now, a striking contrast to the storm we just came through. Just looking at this, it would be difficult to imagine the earlier storm if one had not seen it for themself...
It is amazing how much the weather can affect someone's outlook, isn't it?

Daith always had a habit of looking away from the sunrise, he didn't know exactly when it started, but he had a few theories. He knew a lot of goobies who saw the sunrise as a symbol of joy, something that told them that even through the hardest of times, things will get better eventually. He never saw it as that, instead he moreso saw it as the world showing pity towards him, which he didn't exactly like. He saw the sun as a reminder of times where he would work endlessly in the evening, only to find the sun rising when he hasn't even gotten a sentence down properly.

He didn't look at the sunrise now either, even as he saw others looking at it and admiring it. Daith was just... tired after all that had happened. He wished he could be in his work room, with curtains closed and oil lamp turned on so that he didn't have to acknowledge the light of the outside world. And yet he also didn't mind as much as he usually did, didn't even make a noise of discomfort at the sudden brightness of the sky. If others were happy seeing the sunrise, well... who was he to make a fuss about it?

entry: rhea doesnt really like sunsets that much. the suns always too bright and it always distracts from the beauty of the dark forest she lives in. she loves seeing all of her firefly friends around and other nocturnal animals. rhea wandered to a clearing and saw the sun coming up and she immediately frowned. "well,,, i guess its time to go to sleep,," she whispered. the fireflies were long gone. the door creaked to her shack as she opened it and she quickly finds herself to her bed, however it seemed like a couple rodents have let themselves in. rhea smiled and put them in little beds shes already made for them earlier. maybe sunsets arent as bad as she thought.

Luna always did enjoy watching the sun rise. Having been an early riser his entire life despite his name and ties to other moths, Luna is the first to greet the sun every morning. He especially enjoys sitting on his balcony and watching it breach the horizon with a steaming cup of tea. This daily ritual gives him time to meditate and practice mindfulness, which Luna is a big proponent of. He also uses this time to journal and practice thankfulness, thinking of the day's tasks to come and what he's excited about coming his way. Basically, Luna views sunrises as new beginnings-- each day heralding a new cast of opportunities! In order to properly greet these new chances as they come his way, Luna always makes it a point to wake up with the sunrise and welcome the new day.

Jason's short ears twitched back and forth a moment, as he considered the prompt for the day. "Sunrise eh? Hmmm... for us sailors its considered the sign of a successful voyage, Good omens, seein' a clear sky and its sunrise. I mean, a few clouds are okay but when that sky is clear... its breath-takin'! I remember my first time seein' one, on our way back ta port. It had been a long, hard trip we thought we'd not make it home out. But there it was, a sign that everythin' was gonna be alright. You could hear the crew singin' and dancin' an' it was a sight to see. Even I joined in for a bit, 'cause I too was glad to be alive..." He sighs softly.

"Not everyone gets ta be that lucky yanno? So I cherish each one I see."

When the strom suddenly went away, Veen was shocked.
And the sun rising unlocked a memory.
A chain of memories, actually.

The one that stood out the most, was when she came back to life.
The first thing she saw when she did was the sunrise.

The color hues painted over the sky as the sun rose from the depths of the horizon, creating a beatuful picture to welcome her.
The feeling of warmth of the sunshine hitting her skin for the first time in what felt like years, the feeling of grass beneath her paws.
The way that the sun formed a halo on her head when it rose, lining up perfectly with her head to [ANYONE] behind her, causing a slight rainbow reflection with a blurred vision.

The sun had blessed her with its presence then, and it was doing so now.
She didnt understand why, but it did.
And she was grateful for that.

She smiled, taking it in, and coming out of hiding.
She felt home.
For the first time in years,
She was home.
The sunlight was her home as the moon was her cradle and the stars a sea for her to explore.
She was home.
