not much examples to find for you but looks like it could be around 09 rare per elf hat so depends how many do you auction because I think there are hats and boots of 3 variations or smhtn :D https://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/search.php?keywords=elf&t=4153787&sf=msgonly

for most rereleases, the year they're rereleased in doesn't really matter, just their original dates
though in the case of your pets which are much more valuable than regular very rares, your cake dog is valued at 2 MA, theirs is worth 1 MA or half your dog, so it's unfair to you

wondering if this is a fair trade. i know the malk fox is older but i've been holding onto the cheetah because of its popularity, and have considered doing a giveaway or possibly an auction on it. not sure what's fair for either of them and if this is good for both of us

2016 store pets go for 1-2 2009 rares, and considering the popularity of the cheetah you'd probably be able to trade for more. They'd have to add at least another 2010 rare to make this fair to you (if you follow the 2:1 rule). In terms of C$, I have seen 2010 malk foxes going for around 40C$ while I've seen this particular cheetah going for a minimum of 70C$ and sometimes upwards of 100C$. As such, this trade is not fair to you.
