entry: paradise. marilee thinks about what her paradise might be and immediately she knows. it has to be a day of relaxing on the beach, scuba diving and hanging out with lots of cool goobies! walking with her friends along the beach, picking up really cool colours of beach glass every once in a while, sipping on a cool drink and meeting strangers/turning strangers into friends! she absolutely loves splashing her friends with the cool but refreshing water and giving them lots of hugs after she goes for a swim. now that must be paradise! she would rather do nothing more.

Paradise.
Paradise was such a broad concept.

Paradise for Veen could be many things.
It could be many, many different things.

"Hm... paradise, huh?"
She thought about what she was given to work with.
"I guess... paradise for me would be something quiet, yet busy. And dark, yet bright.
Something with many lights, shinies... Some place with enough loudness to drown your own thoughts, but quiet enough to sleep, to relax.

Paradise would be somewhere i could have fun, somewhere i could be happy in,, somewhere where others would leave me alone, where i wouldnt matter.

Where id be just me, not what others want me to be.

And yet somewhere where i could hang out with others, and make friends,,,"

She paused- startled when she realized how long shed been rambling on about the wrong concept.

"But uh- i guess in the context youd probably want, anythings fine with me.
I just really like the beach, so i guess somewhere where we can have fun and relax is fine." She said hesitantly, embarrased.

And yet her mind kept wandering.
...Big cities were nice sometimes.

She sighed, closing her eyes and taking in the smell of the beach, the salt, the clean air.
She missed her birthplace.
But this was also nice.

...Why couldnt there be a middle-ground for her to be in?

entry: Akemi, the princess known for her strength, stubbornness yet selfless nature, has desired one thing for many years: friends. She usually doesn't show her soft side to the outside world, wanting to be portrayed as the noble and admirable ruler she is. No one could know that deep down, all she wanted was to be loved and cherished for who she was, not what she is. With a longing sigh, Akemi pulled down her favourite book from the grand bookshelf in the castle library. The cover of the book was a beautiful, deep red colour with gold leaf surrounding the title: What Are Friends For? The pages were gold on the outside, making them sparkle in the sunlight as Akemi flicked to her favourite chapter. "Let me read you a page" she said with a soft tone. Instantly, you could tell she had let her walls down and was becoming vulnerable in your presence.

I have friends who are so beautiful. They have an understanding of how things work that I can understand. Now I feel I have finally met my true friends, the people I knew before you left us. It makes me feel like I'm finally home. Kenku said his life is about going on, moving forward from the hardships that are thrown at you. He knows his parents and siblings have supported him since the being. "Thanks to the support that went through me, I have come out the other end of life a much happier person." Kenku told me, bringing a smile to my face. He told me and Lizzie that he loves his family. "He always knows how to talk" Lizzie muttered to me, giggling under her breath. I knew she had a crush on Kenku- it was so obvious. She would never admit it though, not even to herself. Every time I questioned her, she would deny it and change the subject. I hope that one day she wakes up to the reality, because I think they'd be so cute together. This is love, really. It's everything you've dreamed of, including those dreams of being able to live in freedom. To be so comfortable with someone that even silence doesn't bother you anymore. With these two though, there is never a moment of silence. From day one the three of us have clicked. We share amazing memories that never fail to cheer me up.

You can hear Akemi keep reading, flicking over to the next page after a few more sentences. It was clear that the princess found an odd comfort in the book- perhaps living the life she'll never get to have through fictional characters. There was a sadness to it, but I guess everyone's idea of paradise is different.

DAY THREE HAS STARTED!

Benji listens to everyones ideas, enraptured.
"Wow, I was already looking forward to just getting off this boat, but now Im even MORE excited about what we'll see when we get there!"

Suddenly, an angry voice calls out,
"Then you're a fool. Nothing awaits us on that island except our own doom."
A large and scruffy looking diab, dressed in dark clothing, stands with crosses arms in the corner of the deck. He scowls at Benji before continuing to growl, "If we even make it that far, that is. Whats in the depths of these waters might just kill us all first if you dont start taking this seriously. Believe me, kid, there's nothing to celebrate."

With that, the strange diab storms off into the innards of the ship.
Benji looks shocked into silence for once in his life.

Someone in the gathered crowd coughs, startling Benji into action.

"WELL, that sure was something! But that reminds me, Ive got to think of a new theme. Well, what do you guys think is down there in the depths? The kraken? An ancient city? Or just a bunch of sand and rocks?"
